@caanupam7 It seems that you both do not reside in India. At WOfA what you have observed is reasonable when compared to Political Systemic Procedures. 1. CAs begged for votes from CAs and later brought VIP Vs Non-VIP culture at WofA but in Political system an Angoota Chaap (Illiterate) comes and begs votes from Scholars and certainly from most number of greater qualified individuals yet VIP culture stops us at every traffic signal so that these Illiterate Maharajas pass freely with escort jeeps having protection force probably more qualified than them😅. This one example I gave or else at plethora of places they are treated like kings of soil while population kept behind barricaded ropes. Barricades for the public. Escorts for the “Public servants.” "Public servants make Public as servants"🤣 Ropes for taxpayers. Red beacons for representatives. Irony is that these CCMs and RCMs are following/Implementing same Angoota Chap culture. Conclusion: No matter whether you are academically qualified CCM/RCM or an Angoota Chaap politician, you still desire Maharaja privileges because the distinction here is academic qualification but not education. Degrees certify knowledge. Education reflects character. Remember a highly academically qualified person may be a poorly educated person. I strongly support Anupam Sharma and the right of ICAI members to raise their concerns in good faith. It is really unfortunate that ICAI has initiated disciplinary action against a member merely for expressing his discomfort over the “VIP vs Non-VIP” culture observed at the WOfA event. Speaking about issues of equality, dignity, and proper treatment of members should not be treated as professional misconduct. Constructive criticism is necessary for any institution to improve. Using disciplinary action to suppress genuine concerns sends a wrong signal and affects the trust between members and their elected representatives.

@caparveensharma Disciplinary mechanisms must be applied uniformly. Ignoring serious lapses while proceeding against CA Anupam Sharma for member advocacy raises concerns of arbitrariness. My observation at WOFA reflected institutional VIP segregation. ICAI must uphold natural justice & equality .
