10 Yrs. of Dedication, 10 Yrs. of Delay: 2014 CSS Batch ASOs Plead for Justice • For nearly 300 Assistant Section Officers (ASOs) of the 2014 batch of Central Secretariat Service (CSS), another year has slipped by without the rightful promotion to Section Officer (SO), despite our eligibility since July 2023. • On 18.06.2025, Hon’ble MoS @DrJitendraSingh announced that our promotions were approved, yet the file remains stalled in the corridors of @DoPTGoI and @FinMinIndia, leaving us in a state of prolonged uncertainty. • On 07.07.2025, we met Hon’ble Law Minister @arjunrammeghwal, who graciously lent his support, urging the concerned authorities to expedite our case and end these unnecessary delays. • On 16.07.2025, a delegation of 2014 Batch ASOs and Members of @CSSforum_ again met Hon'ble MoS @DrJitendraSingh to express gratitude for his steadfast commitment to resolving our issues. He listened with patience and issued CLEAR DIRECTIONS to @DoPTGoI to address our promotion delay. Press Release - pib.gov.in/PressReleasePa… • On 24.07.2025, Members of @CSSforum_ met the Cabinet Secretary and raised the issue of promotion delays of ASOs from 2014 batch, even after more than 10 years, leading to stagnation and low morale. • Our cause has also been championed by the following esteemed MPs and MLAs, who have written DO letters to Hon'ble MoS @DrJitendraSingh, advocating for swift action:- i. Smt. Geeta Shakya, MP ( @GeetaShakyaUP ). ii. Shri Utkarsh Verma Madhur, MP ( @Utkarsh4LMP ). iii. Dr. S. P. Singh Patel, MP. iv. Shri Vinod Shankar Awasthi, MLA. v. Shri Shashank Varma, MLA. • Despite these efforts, we have received only assurances and repeated promises that our case is “under active consideration.” After a decade of unwavering service to the nation, we find ourselves at a crossroads, our faith tested by persistent delays. • Hon’ble PM @narendramodi ji, we humbly seek your kind intervention to break this impasse. A delegation of the #CSSForum, joined by 2014 batch ASOs, called on the Hon’ble DoPT Minister to raise pressing concerns of the service. While the resolution of backlog promotions was acknowledged, the Forum urged swift action on long standing issues over 1000 days pending 4th Cadre Review, 2014 Batch ASOs' promotion and extension of benefits of #OGAS to #CSS. On 18.06.2025, Hon’ble MoS @DrJitendraSingh publicly confirmed the proposal had been approved. But since then, nothing has happened.
