@misoguapo Those were Reagan’s words & not taken out of context. And it was an American media company that took the money to air the ad. Hahahaha

@DanScavino @RonaldReagan @MarkJCarney @fordnation I am Canadian and APPALLED at the individuals leading our province and country. It is shameful that they misrepresented the words of a great President who I’ve always respected. I would love to join the US and I know I speak for many Canadians, who just want a better life.

🚨O Canada is running a $75M anti-tariff PROPAGANDA ad on TV, here in the United States of America—Directed at Republican Voters… “The Govt of Ontario, Canada, created an ad campaign using selective audio and video of @RonaldReagan…” @MarkJCarney @fordnation👇🏼

Teachers want smaller class sizes – that’s why Alberta's government is building 130 schools and this deal would hire 3,000 new teachers. Teachers want support for increasing complex classrooms – this deal would hire 1500 new EAs to support teachers. Let's say yes to that plan.

@MrsSNorman @YourAlberta Why does no one want to give us the cost per taxpayer? Neither side wants us to know what it’s costing out of our pockets. Charts like this make it look like the money is coming from a pocket called “government” when that is actually individual pockets.

@pragmaticgrl @YourAlberta Really, they just need to direct the education money funneled to private schools to go to public education. Then there would be no additional burden. Private schools can fund themselves. Or those students can choose public education.

@gnarkz @YourAlberta And I likely estimated low because that’s 3.096 taxFILERs. Not all may pay taxes.

@gnarkz @YourAlberta Province offering a $2 B package over 4 years. ATA wants an additional $2.5B. There are 3.096M taxpayers in Alberta. That’s $1,776 per taxpayer over 4 years or $444 per year. I estimated low. And double that for a couple sharing a household.

Ten years ago today, Canadians chose a more hopeful path. I’ll never forget that night in 2015. The energy, the optimism, and the belief that together, we could build a better future. A decade later, we’ve lifted hundreds of thousands of people out of poverty, strengthened and grown the middle class, built a $10-a-day child care system, led the fight against climate change, advanced reconciliation, and made Canada more inclusive and fair for everyone. I’m deeply grateful to everyone who was part of this journey and believed that better is always possible. 🇨🇦

@calgaryherald What’s happened that may be causing all of these pedestrian incidents? Perhaps it’s the provincial government’s belief that everyone should be able to drive as fast as they want? Lack of concern for others on our roads and sidewalks.

@citynewscalgary I just went to our station & there’s a 55 minute line. Going to go back at about 7 & hope that it’s shorter. WHY are the lines so long? Is it because they’re having to manually record each person & their ID?

The Calgary Stampeders were both bad and boring last season, so their turnaround has been a lot of fun to watch. Ten wins now (with one regular-season game to go), still a shot at hosting a playoff date. Good on 'em.

@CTVCalgary Someone needs to add up the costs of what the province has offered & what the ATA is demanding, then break it out by taxpayer. My math could be wrong but think it’s about $320 per taxpayer per year. So $640 for a couple. Don’t think people understand what it will cost them.

@CTVCalgary @StephThomasCTV The ATA says that it will ONLY cost TAXPAYERS an additional $500 million 💰💰💰 dollars a year over and *above* the current offer to give them what they want. I supported them until they said this. That’s insanity & says maybe the union doesn’t understand economics or math.
