@lightroastguy Absolutely. We get used to seeing/relating to others in the roles they’ve traditionally played. What’s interesting is how we’ll tell a people pleaser that they need to learn to set boundaries only to get uncomfortable when they start to do just that.

When a people pleaser starts prioritising themselves, it’s rarely celebrated. Boundaries get labelled as “selfish” because the world is more comfortable with who you were than who you’re becoming. I’ve seen that those who choose themselves often grow and succeed. The toughest part about this is accepting the change from being a people pleaser vs. prioritising yourself.

@markmeyourze Not a board game, but Parikrama from Zenwood Games is an excellent strategy-based card game. It has a somewhat steep learning curve, with additional optional components to make it more challenging, but it’s immensely satisfying when it all comes together.
