@_enyafung I agree with the statement that individuals aren't born with racism with their beliefs. Instead, racism is a learned behavior that is perpetuated through socialization and cultural norms. As it's crucial to start with younger generations to educate them on accepting everyone.

@AlexMoyer11 There is no clear line between the traditional wisdom of older generations and their beliefs. While some traditional wisdom may still hold value other beliefs may be outdated or harmful and need to be challenged and updated. It is important to approach the issue with an open mind

@_enyafung I feel like it is important that we are taught the harsh parts of history so the upcoming generations know the hardships there ancestors have faced in the past. And, even though it is hard to avoid the biases it is important to remain neutral so we know the hard facts.

I feel like it's inevitable for bias not to be present when textbooks are written -- any country would want to teach and show the best parts of their history, but it's important to remain more neutral in teaching so people can make judgements for themselves. #socraticmse

@AlexMoyer11 In response to the question, I believe there is no upper limit to the lengths people would go to in order to comply with social standards and the perceptions of others. People worry about how others see them and consider them when making judgments since that is how humans are.

@RichaVakharia21 The agree with the assertion being made. People won't be able to comprehend the "hard aspects" of history, learn from past errors, and stop similar things from happening in the future if we continue to censor them.

#socraticmse i think it’s important to show history through different lenses but not censor because that’s how we find out what went wrong in history and how to not repeat mistakes. We can’t learn if our history is censored, we can’t just cover up our countries mistakes

I think everyone has a different way that they cope with their emotions whether it is physically or mentally, but the overall idea is that it is okay to express your emotions in any way you deem necessary. #socraticmse

The act of physical violence I think is definitely something that can not be controlled, but I feel that it is a very short term solution. Whereas, verbally sharing your opinion has a more long term effect. #socraticmse

I think for me personally the act of violence depends on the level of the situation being taken place along with the mindset of the people involved. In some situations physical violence can just be unavoidable. #socraticmse
