@DaaruBaazMehta All AAP candidates should resign. Let bjp rule with full majority. Let janta enjoy BJP rule. No need to fight for Delhi people. They made a choice. Let them enjoy the bjp model.

@dmuthuk The BJP ecosystem is treating you the same way you treated other critics of the govt earlier. But credit to you for finally waking up.

The BJP ecosystem is abusing me since yesterday for calling Chidambaram an excellent finance minister. They are saying he is a criminal. I don't know. The government knows better. This is 11th year of BJP rule. What has prevented BJP from proving in courts that he is a criminal and put him behind bars? Criminal or not, my assessment is limited to how he functioned as finance minister. Also if BJP can come down so heavily on me, their supporter; how they would be treating their opponents? In the post liberalised India since 1991: Dr.MMS and Chidambaram are excellent finance ministers. Jaswant Singh and Yashwant Sinha are average. Arun Jaitley, Nirmala Sitharaman and Pranab Mukherjee are the worst.

@DaaruBaazMehta They should just join bjp and save themselves. What's the point of this fight when delhiites don't even vote for them in lok sabha.

@DaaruBaazMehta It's definitely her constitutional right. But I want to know if she remembered this constitutional right before or after 2014?

One of my goals for the year was to spend money more intentionally and less impulsively. So I created a Google spreadsheet template to budget and plan my expenses for the year. DM or comment if you're interested in a free copy of the spreadsheet!

@Etsy what is wrong with your website? I created an account and published an item for sale. My account 3qs suspended in 10 minutes for no apparent reason. I searched online and this seems to be a common problem with many users. Why don't you do something about it?!!

@ChombaBupe Fully agree with you. All the hype around AI is mostly based on the assumption that AI will keep getting better and better. But the way these LLMs are designed, general AI is next to impossible. Niche use cases in specialized scenarios is the best use of this tech.

An explanation for why GPT-4 is degrading: "... we find that on datasets released before the LLM training data creation date, LLMs perform surprisingly better than on datasets released after" New tasks are difting away from what GPT-4 was trained on.

At age 22 I wrote 486 cold emails to break into VC in India. I got exactly 0 replies. Probably because in India, Talent >>>>>> Opportunities (also because my cold emails were horrible lol) 3 years later I became the youngest Partner at one of the best early stage funds in London @localglobevc Motto: Hustle. Work hard. Be authentic. Stay hungry & curious. Improve your EQ. Keep failing. Keep trying. Don’t let anyone deter you. And definitely learn cold email writing!

This is one of the best cold emails ever. But here a 3 ways that it could be even better: 1. Create a hook The subject line needs a better hook than "internship." e.g., "Snapchat feedback from 10 high schoolers + internship" 2. Add value Give first, then ask. e.g., "I spoke to 10 classmates, here's a doc with quotes on how Snapchat can be better." 3. Make a low-effort ask A simple "How" is much better than "Want to schedule some time to chat?" But the ask could be even more specific. e.g., "Can you forward this to a recruiter?"

@brettperl You'd never be able to invest in these startups unless you're a venture capitalist or part of an angel fund consortium. And even in that case no startup would accept a cheque for $1k. You'd have to invest $100k minimum.

List of what not to do for young devs. Please be the office going normie if you want serious learning.
Swastika Yadav@swstica

Remote jobs are not only about getting paid in USD. It’s also about:👇 1. Unlimited PTOs I don’t have to do calculations while taking leaves or request my manager to approve it. This photo was taken on Tuesday afternoon, no festival, no holiday. I can travel whenever I want. 2. Hardware ownership I don’t have to return my Macbook or home office setup if I leave the company. It’s gadgets are mine. 3. Flexible working hours I choose whether I want to work at the midnight or 6 am in the morning or take a nap in the noon. 4. Travel I couldn’t have imagined myself walking on the streets EU at the age 22. Company retreat is a great way to connect and learn from your peers and of course, travel the world. 5. Short notice period / No bond I don’t have to work for 3 extra months even if I feel stuck at a company. Mostly it’s between 15-30 days. 6. Zero politics I’ve heard 100s of stories of toxic office culture, it directly affects the growth of an employee. 7. Exposure You get to work with people from different cultures and places. It’s amazing to have such diverse teams. The list goes on and I can keep on writing. Having said that, it’s not easy to find a remote job and it’s not fun all the time. There will be times when you will have to work in non office hours or plan your holiday according to the work. Remote jobs are also risky compared to corporate job at MNCs. Let me know if you want to know more about the challenges at a remote job or how to find one. I’ll be happy to help:)

Me too. i studied electrical engg - not comp sci. That's why i found companies. Cos nobody else hires me for dev roles. I have to hire myself. and now that also is gone - cos of GPT-4 & Codex 😢
Aviral Bhatnagar@aviralbhat

Most developers in India haven't studied computer science Many study unrelated things like civil, chemical and mechanical Algorithms and data structures are learnt on the fly Developers resort to brute force or copy-paste to make code work Outcome is high dev inefficiency

I'm writing a book on personal finance. I've been trying to use Chatgpt to help me write some paragraphs, but so far it's been a hopeless exercise. No matter what prompts I use, I can't seem to get Chatgpt to copy the tone and style of my writing. Are there any alternatives?

Oppenheimer is unnecessarily “Christopher Nolan-ish”. A simpler plot would have been far more entertaining.
