I protested against the RSS a few days back. That made the Principal and his staff so rattled that they now want my 60+ year-old father, who lives in Chhattisgarh, to come to Delhi and meet them. The college did not inform me before writing to my parents, nor did they have any conversation with me regarding any wrongdoing on my part. This is clear-cut mental harassment and torture of my father and my family. I lost my mother in January. The Principal knows this very well, yet now he is intimidating my only parent -my father. They wrote the letter on 28th April, sent it on 13th May, and my father received it on 25th May. I come from a Dalit family from a small village in Chhattisgarh, and I have faced several other discriminatory issues from this college administration as well. I never knew that exercising my rights could create such a big problem for my family. Despite all this, I am not intimidated. I do not fear the administration. I am the elected President of the Shivaji College Students’ Union. If they are intimidating me, imagine the situation of ordinary students in Delhi University. Babasaheb Ambedkar and his Constitution stand by me. I will not bow down. The RSS has destroyed academic institutions, and I will continue fighting against it. Jai Hind. Jai Samvidhaan.

I am a CBSE Class 12 student. After receiving unexpectedly low marks in Physics, we applied for photocopies of my answer sheets through the CBSE reevaluation process. Today we received the copies. And I am shattered because the Physics answer sheet uploaded by CBSE is not mine

BREAKING: "It will only be a Great Deal for all or, no Deal at all", President Trump says. i.e. It will be the best of times, or the worst of times; the season of light, or the season of darkness; the spring of hope, or the winter of despair. The only certainty: death, taxes, and a maniac with nukes in the Oval Office. @realDonaldTrump/116635193825443617" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">truthsocial.com/@realDonaldTru

Since US Secy of State Rubio @SecRubio @marcorubio sought clarification this morning from me: When I referred to "endorsements", it was very clear who exactly I referred too. Not an activist or a nuisance in a presser. I just asked a question.

Yesterday, I wrote about how @sidhant couldn’t name Trump, and how that spoke volumes about press freedom in India. Some people reminded me that he did a fine job by not naming Trump, that he delivered a masterclass in journalism, that naming Trump could have created a diplomatic row, and that he helped generate some meme-worthy material as if he were writing a skit. Blah blah. And today, an American journalist asked Rubio the same question and named Trump directly. That’s the difference, folks. It’s called press freedom. It’s called having a spine. A journalist’s job is to ask tough questions, no matter who’s standing there. Don’t be scared. If you are from godi media, though, I can’t really say much about that.
Harmeet Kaur K 🇮🇳@iamharmeetK

Wish our journalists questioned our politicians like this too. U.S. Journalist: You were asked by an Indian reporter about racist remarks against Indians ▪️Rubio: I don’t know who he was talking about Journalist: Didn’t Trump call India a hellhole?

"If freedom of press is under threat in India how do you exist?" is the genius who'd ask "If murder rates are increasing in xyz how are you still alive?" "If the air is polluted to toxic levels why don't you have lung cancer?" & some such geniuses are minsters or journalists😏

If you like your ethanol with water, then easy way out: add water to E20. Because ethanol is highly attracted to water (hydrophilic), adding water forces the ethanol to bind with it. Since water and petrol do not mix, the heavier water-ethanol mixture will sink to the bottom. Caveat: acquired taste - may smell of petrol. But a rich kinda smell, given only the rich can afford petrol now

Boss, increase petrol price all you want. I understand it's needed. But just stop adding ethanol to it. I'll pay for the ethanol also, no probs. Just give it to me on the side.

Last night I flew on an @AirCanada flight #AC779 from Montreal to LAX and I watched a medical emergency happen on the plane. I was so impressed with the level of attentiveness and quick action from the crew that I just want to highlight the level of professionalism and consideration they had for the passenger. The medical situation was resolved on the flight and everyone left ok 🙏 Good for you @AirCanada!

Great, so set off fr hike meeting point at an ungodly hour. No road where GPS tells me to turn so I follow the trucks and a huge black vehicle with a drunk guy comes right at me. Bangs into car. Jumps out, runs towards me swings the car door open no doubt to beat me up and all the time he's filming me and my number plate. The car has backed into a tempo and my rear window breaks entirely. After an episode of hyperventilation when I lose my wits entirely, i somehow manage to back up and this moron with a scratched out number plate on his huge elephant vehicle yells obscenities and as he's driving away says he's a lawyer and he's gonna show me. Wah. Anyway Im in the middle of the Arravali jungles now. App folk belief whereabouts is if u want to speak to your ancestors, you can hang yr clothes on these trees. Green ouija boards 🙏

When you're driving on the highway, you're not thinking of the thousands of other cars on the same highway. You're focused on the car in front of you, the one behind, and (esp in India!) to those to the left and right of you. You need to keep going in the same direction as them, and not get too close. That's how the birds do it too, in a murmuration, albeit in 3-D space. instagram.com/reel/DYU2-MbNG… @FryRsquared

The year was 1985. Gorbachev had just been elected. The world didn’t know yet if this meant the end the cold war. PM Rajiv Gandhi lands in the United States. Still just 40. Only 7 months into office. Critics barking at his door. He faced a US government deeply suspicious of Indo Soviet ties, an American public, contemptuous of socialism and a belligerent press. Then Rajiv Gandhi did something very rare for a global press event. He took on the world’s press. Completely unscripted. When he was done he had changed the dynamic forever. He gave the world a new modern dynamic India, unafraid of the geopolitical transition the world was in. An India, the world had not seen before. A masterclass in diplomacy - read and be astounded- Question : Mr. Prime Minister, India claims to be non-aligned, yet your first official trip abroad was to the Soviet Union, and you have consistently supported their positions. Isn't India actually tilted heavily towards Moscow..?? Rajiv Gandhi : We will not be tied to the apron strings of any major power. We do not lean left or right. India always stands up straight. We look at things on their merits. Our friendship with the Soviet Union is time tested. They have stood by us in times of need. But I don't think our friendship with one country should be at the cost of friendship with another. Question: India has already detonated a nuclear device in 1974. With Pakistan reportedly developing a bomb, can you tell us plainly, does India currently have nuclear weapons, or are you secretly building one..?? Rajiv Gandhi : We do not have a nuclear bomb. We have no intention of making a nuclear bomb. We are a peaceful nation. But let me also make it clear that if we are forced into a corner, and if our security is threatened by a nuclear neighbor, we will have to rethink our options. But we hope it never comes to that point. Question : India is a poor country that relies heavily on foreign aid. Yet, your government spends vast amounts of money on heavy military equipment and defense. How do you justify this to your citizens..?? Rajiv Gandhi : We do not want to spend a single paisa on defense that could otherwise go into building a school, a hospital, or a road. But look at our neighborhood. When highly sophisticated weapons, far beyond the legitimate defense needs of a country, are pumped into our region, we have no choice but to protect our borders. Security cannot be compromised for development, because without security, there is no development. Question: In light of the horrific Union Carbide chemical disaster in Bhopal just a few months ago, do you feel American corporations cannot be trusted, and will this hurt US investments in India..?? Rajiv Gandhi : Bhopal was a terrible tragedy, and it showed a gross disregard for safety standards that would never be permitted even in the United States. There must be equal responsibility and accountability for human lives, whether in America or in India. However, this does not mean India is closing its doors to foreign technology. We want American technology and investments, but we also want corporations that respect our laws and our people. Question : Did you bring any message to Washington from Palestine Liberation Organization leader Yasser Arafat. Rajiv Gandhi : No, we have not brought any message from Arafat or anyone else. We try not to be messengers." PERIOD
