An Indian-born female cheetah Gamini (25 months) has given birth to four cubs in the wild-marking the first such instance since the 2022 reintroduction, and the first by an Indian-born cheetah. A big step toward successful adaptation and natural breeding under #ProjectCheetah

With the world in turmoil, it’s perhaps the best time to escape by looking up at the Universe. Head out to the Dark Sky Park at Ariyur Shola Reserve Forest at Kolli Hills, Tamilnadu. Tucked away in the Forest, this is one of those rare pockets in southern India where the night sky still reveals itself in full. It’s not at the level of the world’s best dark-sky reserves (like Atacama or Ladakh’s Hanle) But in their own inimitable fashion, @supriyasahuias & her team have taken what was simply a naturally dark landscape & without overwhelming it, shaped it into a thoughtful destination. And done so in an eco-friendly manner. Visitor numbers are deliberately capped, infrastructure is minimal. She recognised that darkness itself is a scarce resource that must be preserved & rediscovered. #SundayWanderer

India just smashed the 150 GW solar milestone >Added 44.6 GW of solar in 1 year, up 87% y-on-y (that's more than the total installed solar capacity of the UK or Spain) >Global solar leaderboard shifting fast: India now 3rd largest solar power globally after China with 1,200 GW (in a league of its own) and the US at 280 GW (falling behind the pace) - surpassing traditional solar leaders like Japan and Germany "Impossible" targets are just a lack of will: India achieved its target of having 50% of its total installed electricity capacity from non-fossil fuel sources in June 2025, reaching this milestone 5 years ahead of its original 2030 deadline set under the Paris Agreement pv-magazine.com/2026/04/10/ind…

Whoever tries to read Indian foreign policy through Western concepts misses the point. Delhi sees no contradiction between buying oil from Russia and maintaining security cooperation with the United States. It sees no problem in a partnership with Israel alongside a presence in Iran’s Chabahar. It does not hesitate between the Gulf and Iran. It is building a system in which each of them depends on it. This is not balance. It is architecture. Balance can be broken in a day. Architecture holds even when a floor collapses. India is building a structure through which every door passes. This is not diplomacy. It is an architecture of dependence. READ THIS PIECE. eurasiantimes.com/india-is-no-su…
