There are some companies which are worth working for and one such is Doist inc, one of my clients now a friend works there.
He works virtually, gets paid in san fransico benchmark (crazy figures) while being in India, his age is just 30. He isn't limited to staying in India. He can stay in any country of his choice. Salaries will be adjusted as per the country he is a resident of.
And on top of it, company mandatorily takes all it's employees to a fully paid trip in the finest locations of Europe every 6 months. He is our regular, now imagine someone like him was rejected a visa, he had a Dutch visa rejected.
He came to us in 2024, since then we have helped him and his wife for all their primary visas. Probably this is the last application which we will help him for longest time because I have hopes for him getting a multiple years.
But wouldn't you want to work for companies like this? Some small businesses don't have the revenue which these guys take home.

@dakuwithchaku Book home-made tiffins. Only try restaurants on weekends 😃
Ahmedabad food prices are way higher than Mumbai and BLR!
English

To give perspective I daily eat 2 meals by ordering from outside.
Mumbai my max per day would not cross 500 - 700 Rs. I would order from near by restaurants etc via apps. Sometimes some high end restaurants. Monthly 20000 -25000 something approx.
Here in Ahmedabad 30000 Rs just crosses off like nothing. Also quite jacked up rates in delivery platform. And tha main you're not satisfied with the food 😭

I have been saying this since I moved here. Shitty street food is also costly. And it’s not limited to food. It’s overall costly as compared to metros. (The only thing is that rent is lower than nettles)

@YourCardJourney Seems my BOB Eterna might rejected due to over leverage 😛
#PSUBankRocks

SBI Credit Cards declined my application.
Reason mentioned was simple.
Over-leveraged profile.
Too many existing credit cards.
That part is clear. Banks do monitor exposure.
But what stood out was something else.
SBI itself is issuing multiple co-branded cards across different ecosystems.
Apollo has its own SBI card.
Reliance has its own SBI card.
Tata has its own SBI card.
Each business line has a separate product strategy.
Each product pushes acquisition independently.
So on one side, the system encourages card proliferation.
On the other side, the same system flags users for holding multiple cards.
That’s where the mismatch begins.
If a bank expands its own portfolio across brands,
it cannot simultaneously penalize users for participating in that ecosystem.
This is not about rejection.
This is about consistency in underwriting logic.
It worked for them.
Might not work for users until this gets aligned.

@AmazingCreditC I had LTF. No new applications. Upgraded to Legend.

😎Meet the Final Boss of Credit Card Innovation.
💳IndusInd Bank launched this credit card 7 years back.
Credit button for normal credit card payments
EMI button lets you instantly convert transactions into EMI at the terminal, with options like 6, 12, 18 or 24 months
Rewards button lets you pay using reward points directly at the store
LED indicators confirm what you’ve selected.
Also had a built in battery inside the card to power all this.

Watch | CCTV footage of 8 April hit & run accident in Rajkot. Scooter-rider in hurried overtake was on wrong-side & without helmet. Road had no lane-markings. Car that hit the scooter had banned black windows and no number-plate. Tractor doesn’t seem to have number-plate. So many wrongs in 33 seconds clip.

So much for the fake narrative that “Gujarat gets special treatment from the Centre”.
As per the CAG report, central grants to Gujarat have fallen sharply (down 45% in FY25), largely due to the phase-out of GST compensation and lower Finance Commission transfers. In fact, total grants have nearly halved since FY21. This isn’t a state being propped up by special central munificence and it operates without central cushion.
What stands out is how Gujarat manages. Despite declining grants, it has continued to industrialise, build formidable infrastructure, and maintain relatively organised urban growth, something many developed and higher-transfer states struggle with. Thanks to fiscal discipline, tighter spending, and almost no largs-scale handouts.
Gujarat runs very low level of debt and tighter finances.. Note it does not have have liquor revenue as a major fiscal crutch like lot of state
So the Gujarat story isn’t of a “favoured state, but it’s of a state that has largely built its growth model despite shrinking central support, not because of it. via @businessline

Found some time today to visit the historic Sardar Patel Stadium, Navrangpura one of India’s historic former international venues. It hosted India's first ever ODI on Indian soil.
Established in 1960, with a capacity of 60,000, the stadium spreads over 67,000 sq metres and used a complex folded-plate structural system, the first such building in India.
Notably, it hosted India’s first-ever ODI on Indian soil: India vs England, 1981, which also remains the only ODI played at this stadium.
The venue also staged two women’s Tests:
• India Women vs Australia Women (1984)
• India Women vs New Zealand Women (1985)
A small but iconic chapter of Indian cricket history. 🏏

Based on recommendations received on X, went to Laxmi Ganthiya Rath. Decent crowd, ordered Khaman, Jalebi, Khandvi & Ganthiya and it took 5 mins to get my order. Later realized it was too much for me alone to eat so got it packed.
By the way, whats this orange delicacy placed in the box? I am wanting to try it in my next attempt along with Daal Pakodi & pack some theplas back home.
