You can see the rate Black American murder rate spike in two main spots. Mid 2014, right as BLM gained traction after the Michael Brown incident and 2020 following the George Flloyd incident. Man, twitter is hot garbage lately (I know, always has been).
What you're witnessing when you see these people in "MAGA" flip-flopping on issues is a total lack of principles. Social media has incentivized cheerleading, so they have turned cheerleading into a business - a lucrative one.
This requires them to cheerlead and defend some indefensible things and often times it's completely contradictory to what they have said in the past.
