I'm more interested in the projects started, not the projects finished. It is amazing how beginner programmers underestimate the scope of the projects that professionals take for granted, yet being naive are totally unfazed by the challenges.

What kind of grandiose programming projects you've started when you were just a child learning to code? Me: rule-based AI, window manager in assembly, operating system for 80386, text processing programming language, likely more (cannot remember all of them now)
