On my way back from Pune, I stopped for diesel. I asked the pump operator why fuel prices are rising fast. He replied, “It’s a global crisis. The whole world is suffering. Prices will settle once it's over. Have faith." Common people surely have better IQ than SM influencers.

Didn't you say that there is no freedom of press in India? If so, then how are you able to find such articles, written with a sole agenda of antagonizing the government, in Indian media? The fake propaganda of you and your ilk falls flat simply with such articles. No wonder Indians neither take you nor outlets like Wire seriously anymore.

The @thewire_in writes: The country has had to contend with the contradictions between India’s loud claims of being a democracy equipped with a free media and a harmonious, multi-religious society, and its actual record on the ground. m.thewire.in/article/media/…

It’s funny hearing the word “humiliation” for Our Prime Minister, a leader who is continuously being honoured by countries around the world with their top civilian awards. My PM is among the most internationally respected and honoured leaders in the world today, and he is the democratically elected Prime Minister of the world’s largest democracy. He has been winning democratic elections continuously for over 25 years now. First as a Chief Minister and now as Prime Minister. There are simply no words to describe how deeply millions of us love, admire, and trust him. And as for India’s progress, leave that to us Indians. More than 1.4 billion Indians are capable enough of deciding what is good for our country. We don’t need a YouTuber sitting abroad, disconnected from India’s ground reality, pretending to be our spokesperson while building his entire online career around mocking, criticizing, and fearmongering about the very country that made him relevant.

Modi deserves to be humiliated everywhere he goes. He has not given a single press conference in 12 years since he became the Prime Minister. He fails to fulfill the basic transparency and accountability requirements of being a leader. I would like to encourage foreign journalists from other European countries to ask him questions wherever they see him, just like @HelleLyngSvends did. Embarrass him so much that he is forced to show some accountability in front of people. You will be doing great service for India’s progress.

People make noise when petrol prices increase but when the prices of gutka and cigarettes increase, their sales remain the same. Some people expect everything to be available for free. But that is not how things work- A common man They understand things!

The price rise of fuel is due to a shortage of global oil supplies as a result of multiple wars like the Russia-Ukraine War and the Iran war. Now, many developed countries like the US, UK, Australia etc have increased their fuel prices by 20-60%. Compared to that, the rise in India is only about 10%. The government of India is doing its best to maintain a steady supply of oil and gas by looking at alternative sources and increasing the production capacity of LPG. The PM himself has also been one of the first leaders across the globe to even cut down his convoy size in order to make people understand the seriousness of the oil crisis after asking them to reduce the usage of oil as much as possible. It is one thing for you to not promoting these measures of government as Leader of Opposition. But terming PM "Mahangaai Maanav" for a global crisis is like a cat expecting the world to become dark after closing its eyes.
