Do you guys know what it means to live with the curse of empathy? People say I’m too soft, but I genuinely can’t help it. My heart literally expands when I see someone in pain I feel it like it’s my own. Even when someone hurts me, I might react for a second, but almost immediately, guilt creeps in, and I start finding excuses for them. To stay angry, I have to avoid seeing them, because the moment I do, it’s over. They think I’m naive, but I just can’t help it. I honestly hate it, feeling everything so deeply. My heart actually hurts when I see pain. It’s exhausting!!!! Sometimes I wonder if it’s a disorder, because I truly hate how much I feel.
