some thoughts as someone who has been in the NFTs space for over 5 years NFTs in 2026 is not what it was in 2021/22 it may still be the most recognizable proof of ownership and identity in web3 but we've grown beyond the hype surrounding it NFTs are not dead but there's something lacking in their appeal to the average person i'll share some POV on ataktos as i'm building this in real time 𝐎𝐧 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 free mint /= cheap or degen mint it's letting the market decide what they value the project at a fair chance for it to grow organically i could use market makers to create volume and FOMO but that is lying to myself about the value and creating faux hype around it. i don't like it i'm sick of seeing fake volume in NFTs and price pumps that don't reflect the actual scope of a project i wish i hadn't announced the mint price yet so i don't attract the wrong crowd as i build this. my bad 𝐰𝐡𝐲 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝟐𝟐𝟐 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐥𝐲? i feel this quantity reflects the true value and the story each piece carries this is not a pfp project that needs mass adoption it's art made from metaphysical data, human anatomy, mathematical expression, geometry and pure lines of code i took my time with them. 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 there are no royalties. i did not plan on profiting from secondary sales i made this purely from art perspective and trying things out. 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 i'm aware that when you're building something like this your notifications go brrrr i will miss so many tags and messages also sad reality about saying you’re building a free mint it may look like "he's not profiting off the project so he won't put energy into it" but i have spent real money, my time and sweat on this and i'm still building i definitely want this to go well my rep is more important to me than any $ 𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 one of the problems i've noticed about NFTs in the last 2-3 years is the WL distribution system WL rarely goes to people who actually care about the project beyond the mint and the people who do care don't have time to grind social interactions most collab giveaways add zero value to the growth of a project so many dead servers pocketing WL for themselves there are only about 5 groups that are genuinely active and support NFT projects with their money and their network it's no surprise those 5 groups are getting every hyped WL these days. they deserve it 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 building a small supply means i can't satisfy everyone who wants a WL spot or every new reply guy but i will give everyone a fair chance at getting in and after that it's “your luck” 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 when you take steps like this be ready to deal with the noise people will FUD because they didn't get a whitelist or even talk down on why i am doing this you can never satisfy people in crypto. know this and know peace seeking public validation will never help your growth, try shit and fail, that’s how real builders are made. tl;dr ataktos is purely an art project for the art lovers.
