Trying to find small pockets of happiness right now, so I'm admiring my beautiful handmade award from @prf2022! Almost makes my maybe-permanent-finger-nerve-damage from instrumenting Antarctic rocks with tiny metal sensors worth it!

At home now from @prf2022. I learned a lot about how rocks crack, many good memories from a beautiful venue, inspiring discussions and eventually a poster prize. Thanks to the sponsors @geosociety @NSF @psylotech @unccharlotte @COBRADurham and @CrpgNancy for making this possible

Just back from a superb @prf2022 (Progressive Failure of Brittle Rocks) Penrose Conference. Man there are a lot of cracks in my house I never saw before.

But really @prf2022 has been amazing, can we do it every year??? And the LOCATION 😍

How will #ClimateChange impact weathering? My presentation at @prf2022 today examined the relationship between climate change and fractures, emphasizing that warming temperatures will increase cracking. We need to be more aware of the growing rockfall risks in urban areas! (1/3)
