@KirkHerbstreit My dad would disown me. One time I didn’t run full speed after hitting a routine grounder to 2nd baseman. He didn’t talk to me for a week.

How is this celebrated?!? What the hell is wrong with people?! Where are the coaches? Umpires? What parent in the right mind wouldn’t drag their son off the field if he did that? Pathetic!!
Danny Kanell@dannykanell

The coaches and parents who allow this to go on are the problem. Instead of teaching kids how to play the game the right way and show respect for the opponent they’re worried about getting viral attention. Embarrassing.

@SportsBoyTony Love that Razorbacks squad. Locally I really feel that Jimmy Jackson, Mark Baker, Chris Jenson , etc. with Coach Ayers crew really made a lot of people fall in love with the Buckeye’s hoops program. JJ imo in the most influential Buckeye (hoops wise) of all time.

Shout out to '94 40 Minutes of Hell Razorbacks too. Another team that actually won the title.

Seeing the Fab Five discourse. They were awesome, entertaining and influential. But UNLV walked so the Fab Five could run. Villain role, shorts getting longer, plenty of bag men, all-black starting five, highlight-reel style, and they actually clobbered Duke to win the title (the year Ackles was injured).

Illinois coach looks like a grizzled HS coach from the 90s. They don’t make em like that anymore 🤣

After Duke fired off five straight out of the halftime locker room, St. John’s delivered three pick sixes and an 8-0 run. Timeout. Jon. Scheyer. It is LOUD in DC from the sea of red.

Pitino made the Sweet 16 at Providence. Pitino made the Sweet 16 at Kentucky. Pitino made the Sweet 16 at Louisville. Pitino made the Sweet 16 at St. John’s. He is the greatest coach of all-time. It might not be close.

@Clevta Agree. He had a running start versus a half court set, with at best an avg St John’s team offensively.

I understand all that fouling with many to give but I would have maybe waited to give the last foul as the offense was actually advancing closer. The defender couldn’t be aggressive there

@Vince_Cellini Imagine Price in today’s league — he’d be absolutely beautiful to watch with no hand-checking. Honestly, the two guys in today’s game who feel like they could thrive in any era are KD and Kyrie: incredible footwork, lethal from everywhere, and elite both inside and out.

We are told our time has passed, we’re old, called ‘Unc’ or ‘Gramps’ and we watched plumbers. How ignorant. Particularly when this is the current product. Who would stop prime Barkley or Shaq today? 2026: lots of talent, clearly a different game imo.
Mark@CLESportPrspctv

I think when guys like Barkley and Shaq talk about their era, this is part of it. Rules just aren't enforced as well. And I'm sure someone will uncover footage like this from the 90's, but it wasn't as previlant as it is today

@Vince_Cellini A 3 man weave drill always ended up with a lay up, now kids fade to the 3 point line. Also check out the bigs footwork back in the day. Guys like Ewing, The Dream, our guy Brad Daughterty. It’s a lost art. I still watch but I understand people who lost interest 10-15 years ago

The talent is definitely there in today’s game but yes the product is different. It stems back to ‘94 when AAU started to really take off. Coaches from high school started implementing “summer ball” style of play and it evolved over the years to this. Go watch a high school practice now ,,,
