Genzs don’t know about this 40 shilling coin, famously called “Ki-Lucy.” This coin, which featured the late President Mwai Kibaki, was issued in 2003 to commemorate 40 years of Kenya’s independence. The coin was later phased out in line with the 2010 Constitution, which ‘banned’ the use of portraits of individuals on Kenyan currency. I am sure it’s now a collectible. Probably selling above its face value.

If you solve a big problem in a few minutes and get paid big, don't sabotage yourself by judging yourself for earning big in a few minutes. You have solved a big problem in 5 minutes, and therefore, you are being paid for spending 5 years learning how to solve it in 5 minutes. Kill the judge in your head. Don't judge yourself. Be shameless in the execution of your skills. Is the world fair? No. It is cold and indifferent. It doesn't care. Is the hiring process fair? No. Therefore, bypass the hiring process by networking and marketing your value. Is the game rigged? Yes. So, why play the game of losers? Men don't play by the rules. They trade their money for assets. Are politicians fair? No. They will never be fair. Therefore, exploit the loopholes they created for themselves and build your leverage alongside them. You can choose to complain, or you can choose to step into the ring and become a man of value. You can continue complaining about fairness or go coldly and shamelessly for the crown lying at the edge of the abyss. You can continue feeling and prioritizing your fragile emotions or you can start engaging your logic and think. As others whine, you build tools to leverage your value. You are either the Prince or the Peasant. The enemy is not poverty, The enemy is the void in your head that you have refused to conquer. Your enemy is the battlefield sitting between your ears. I have seen some people argue that Queen Elizabeth II and the Pope were buried in private ceremonies. Let us remind them that neither the Queen nor the Pope were Luos. They were buried according to their societies’ cultures, customs and traditions. A Luo man with a homestead must be buried in accordance with Luo culture, customs and traditions. We must not accept colonial practices to take over our mores, traditions and customs. As for those who argue that the Odinga family owes Kenyans nothing, let me remind them that everything members of the Odinga family have and enjoy—the power, influence, wealth and privileges—emanate DIRECTLY from the people. For those arguing about “the Will”, let me remind them that we have not seen or read it, nor have we seen the advocate who read it in the PRESENCE of ALL beneficiaries as required by law. After all, no one has claimed that @RailaOdinga wanted to be buried as a boy who died in his father’s homestead. Some of these issues are too consequential to be left to opportunists, hypocrites and transactional dealers. @RailaOdinga must be given a befitting send off as a Luo Elder. He cannot be buried in secret like a thief. The public and state agencies are urged to exercise absolute restraint and decorum during the entire process. Period.

What is so special about life? We are all simply waiting for that day . Sun will rise and we won't be here to see it set down the horizon. Honestly!
