Dr. Rubeliz Bolivar Barrios has been released! She should never have been locked away by ICE. As an emergency and trauma doctor, she served patients in South Texas with dedication. I am grateful that she will be reunited with her 5 year-old daughter Milena and husband.

I wish conservatives understood one thing: If it weren’t for blue states, the U.S. would be a third world country with broadband holes, broke schools, and zero innovation. Red states take the federal money. Blue states make it. You don’t fund the country, you drain it. Bad ideas. No revenue. And the loudest voices are always the ones who bring the least to the table.

Norway just made a decision that will be remembered for years. The country has officially ended fur farming nationwide. No more mink or foxes will be bred, kept in cages, and killed for clothing. An industry built on animal suffering is now gone. This took years. Investigations exposed what life in fur farms looked like. Animals lived in small wire cages. They could not run, dig, or behave naturally. Many showed clear signs of stress. People saw the reality and spoke up. Public pressure grew. Animal welfare groups kept pushing. More citizens questioned whether fashion could justify that cruelty. Lawmakers responded and passed a ban. Farmers received time to transition and shut down their operations. That process is now complete. This matters. Thousands of animals will not be born into cages. Fewer lives will be treated like products. Norway chose compassion over tradition and profit. The impact also reaches beyond Norway. Decisions like this show other countries that change is possible. They push others to look at their own systems and ask if they still make sense. Consumers are driving this shift too. More people choose alternatives. More brands stop using fur. Demand is changing, and industries are forced to follow. This is what progress looks like. It builds over time through awareness, pressure, and action. Then one day, what once seemed normal is no longer accepted. Norway has drawn that line. @JDVance You do not give a damn about fraud. Every one of these people gave Trump $1 million, and each of them got a pardon. That scheme is fraud in and of itself.

NEW: Almost every member of the Tennessee Black Caucus in the State House being PUNISHED and stripped of Committee assignments for speaking out against mass disenfranchisement of Black voters. This is the kind of racism we can expect to see more often in the wake of Callais.

He does something every day that would have ended political careers to anyone before him. How did we succumb to this trance of utter nonsense, I can’t grasp it. Why, for this man? In our history he’s one of the most disgusting humans this country has ever produced. rant/fin

When I was with MSU football, we traveled to Iowa for a game. At one point, I got separated from the group, (long story) but I found myself walking toward the stadium in my Spartan jersey. I was walking through a massive group of Iowa fans tailgating. I’d been to Ohio State already, so I was mentally ready for all the horrible stuff I was about to experience. Before I had got 100 feet in, people had given me pork chop sandwiches, chips, all kinds of stuff. I ended up chatting with a bunch of them and they were just the best fan base ever. They loved Iowa football and were just so dang pleasant. Eventually, I got back to the stadium and a couple hours later the game started. I was curious as to what these sweet people would be like once the missile launched. When you’re on the sideline in Iowa, you are right next to the fans. The distance between you and them is very small. I’ll tell you what, They hurled some of the best and most creative verbal abuse I’ve ever heard in my life. Absolutely first rate. They will always be my favorite fan base in the Big Ten.

The U.S. states with the most criminals. 5.Arkansas 4. Mississippi 3. Oklahoma 2. Texas 1. Louisiana The common denominator? Poverty, underfunded education, weak healthcare access, and decades of failed governance dressed up as ‘law and order.’

There should be no such thing as “Black Political Power” Black Americans are just Americans and should be treated the same as every other American of every other race. Being Black is NOT a handicap, and black people are not in anyway incapable of making their voices heard so they do not need their own districts or special representatives. What is good for Black Americans is good for all Americans. And until we stop the racist democrats from trying to make a Victim Class out of all minorities including Black Americans we will continue to deal with this bullshit.

.@Sen_JoeManchin and @kyrstensinema will go down in history as two of the people who stood at the doorway and blocked the passage of the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act when democracy and Black political power were under assault. History teaches us what happens when leaders choose political comfort over moral courage. The Hayes Tilden Compromise ended Reconstruction and unleashed nearly a century of disenfranchisement, terror, and the systematic destruction of Black political power across the South. Different era. Different names. Same devastating consequences. When people ask how we got here, their failure to lead and act in that moment will be part of the answer.

It’s not his White House. It’s the people’s house. It’s not his reflecting pool. It’s our reflecting pool. It’s not his East Wing. It’s our East Wing. These national landmarks belong to the American people — not to one man, one administration, or one political movement. What we are witnessing is bigger than politics. It’s the erosion of democratic norms, respect for our Constitution, and the dignity of our institutions. The damage being done to our country’s character and credibility may take decades to repair. The stain of this regime’s actions will not be easily erased.

South Carolina, where the first shot of the civil war was fired, where 40 percent of those enslaved came through the Charleston port, is today engaged in an ugly recidivism to draw maps that will deny a Black person the chance to serve in Congress. The stakes could not be higher. Our political fight is not on a playground, but a moral battleground. We must stand for Black representation across the South.
