Watch Alex Sorin @Alex_Ortodoxie REJECT the idea that Christ’s fulfillment of the law applies to us: He REJECTS that justification is BOTH because Christ is God AND because God fulfilled His own law on our behalf. Fruits of EO

@prncecarrington @Alex_Ortodoxie Youve made it so you are given Christ's righteousness and expect behavior change from that while refusing to provide a standard for it. This is so you can judge others' behavior, but never your own, because nothing is expected bc that would be a lack of belief in Christ's work

@pattonpending_ @Alex_Ortodoxie You cannot. That’s MY point. God must 1st RESURRECT you through justification. You are dead outside of that. Dead. Your mind is literally incapable of cooperating with God. The only way you “lose” salvation is by losing sight of His SOVEREIGN **real** grace over you.

@pattonpending_ @Alex_Ortodoxie Because it’s not my righteousness genius. It’s not my glory genius. Do you not get it? It’s the imputed righteousness of Christ that is my glory. That is The Church’s glory.

@prncecarrington @Alex_Ortodoxie So, this reduces to...you expect behavioral change from your 'glorification' but then you also concede that you don't expect to see yourself stop sinning, so the change is judged arbitrarily by you...and you have to assume that your changes clearly out weight all your sins

@prncecarrington @Alex_Ortodoxie This is gibberish.Sanctification was for the 1st-century church only? You have imputed righteousness, so that you, as a clearly unrighteous man, are made righteous in the Lord's eyes, and that's just it...you can go on and live how you wish bc it's an eternal positional truth

@prncecarrington @Alex_Ortodoxie You said that it starts with an initial justification by grace. That's inaccurate to begin with and is more representative of your own view than Orthodoxy's. Sorry not sorry that it's insufferable to require accuracy when refuting the opposing position.

@pattonpending_ @Alex_Ortodoxie The entire point why we don’t stop sinning & why old people mentally deteriorate & sin even if they are “Christians” is because we will always need the imputed righteousness of Christ to cover our nakedness. Period.

@pattonpending_ @Alex_Ortodoxie The real divine energies makes the individual alive upon belief, ontologically changing their desires. This isn’t to the point of perfection. No Christian EVER stops sinning entirely. We grow in our faith, but not TO glorification, FROM glorification.

@pattonpending_ @Alex_Ortodoxie I’m literally using your terms. “Energies” “salvation by grace”. I don’t describe salvation that way in my own vernacular, but you’d rather tear down instead of being charitable because you are a daughter of Satan.

I want official statements only from EO church, not a bunch of low IQ spitballed assertions.

If this is what EO church teaches I have no issue with it. ☦️ Can someone confirm? Do EO believe double imputation?
Mr. August@MrAugustlw2c

@GeoffKlein3 @prncecarrington @Azmomma78 @Alex_Ortodoxie I gave you an Orthodox dogmatic from a priest in my citations supporting it. All double imputation would be is that the penalty of our sins is imputed to Christ where he appropriates our sinfulness while we receive his righteousness in return (2 Corinthians 5:21).

@pattonpending_ @Alex_Ortodoxie You believe salvation is a process till the eschaton, staring in initial justification by grace, and preserved through cooperation with the divine energies that make an ontological change in our nature till the (supposed) future day of resurrection.
