A lot of artists don’t succeed in music because they don’t even love the music. They just want to get attention, show off, get money, lifestyle, and just not to work. But soon as they hear any music term they want to throw up.

⚠️ 12 FREE UAD plugins for you! • No hardware required. • Perpetual license. • $1500+ worth. Something I have never done before. Only 5 people can use this and get 12 plugins to elevate their mixes. Rules will be below. Here is the list of the plugins that you can get: Pultec Passive EQ Collection: «Three (!) astonishingly accurate Pultec EQs that capture the sound of the original analog hardware. Get the same silky curves used by the engineers of John Mayer, Daft Punk, and Mariah Carey, on your vocals, drums, keys and more». The best sounding Pultec emulation on the market. My favorite one of course. Teletronix LA-2A Classic Leveler Collection: «Get smooth, radio-ready vocals, guitars, and bass with three (!) highly sought-after versions of the most famous optical tube compressor ever made — and the go-to for professional mixers worldwide». Again, the best sounding LA-2A, closest to the hardware. Sounds fantastic. It helped me in many cases when I couldn’t find any other compressor to suit some vocals. I use the Gray version the most and the original 2A for more vintage feel. Silver version works great on modern sound. Century Tube Channel Strip: «Enhance your vocals, guitars, synths, and more with a vintage-style tube mic preamp, simple three-band EQ, and optical compressor designed to give you everything you need to capture "first take" magic». One of the richest sounding channel strips that I ever used. Fantastic and very underrated compressor there also. Galaxy Tape Echo: «Add subtle tape delay and colorful effects to drums, vocals, guitars, and synths with the definitive emulation of an iconic analog device used by everyone from Pink Floyd and David Bowie, to King Tubby and Lee “Scratch” Perry». I posted about this plugin not once. It’s one of my go-to plugins for creating interesting and creative delays. Always in my template. Pure Plate Reverb: «Explore UA's revolutionary plate reverb emulation in a simple, easy-to-use plug-in and give your vocals, guitars, strings, and synths lush, satisfying ambience». Based on EMT 140 plate reverb, a legendary unit. My favorite and go-to plate reverb. It lives in my template too. Oxide Tape Recorder «Based on our award-winning Ampex and Studer tape machine emulations, Oxide Tape Recorder gives you the warmth, presence, and vibe of professional analog tape, with simple controls, so you can easily make everything "sound like a record"». My go-to saturation for bass and kick. It makes the low end so rich and smooth. One of my secret weapons for mixing the low end. Verve Analog Machines Essentials: «Give your recordings the colorful analog saturation and effects heard on countless hip-hop, lo-fi, electronic, rock, and experimental tracks. Designed for the modern musician, beatmaker, and producer — Verve Analog Machines Essentials puts four playful vintage sounds right in your DAW». For me this saturation works in a lot of cases when others can’t! PolyMAX Synth: «Vintage-inspired synth gives you fat analog tones from the golden age of polysynthesis with warm, analog-modeled oscillators and filters, professional UA effects, and curated presets for any genre — for album‑ready sounds instantly». ———————————— How to get the plugins❓ Plugins will be given to the next 5 people who will join to my vocal mixing course. You will get all the video lessons (existing and future) that include not only vocal mixing but overall mixing basics, vocal editing, and more than that, full mixing breakdowns, my template, mastering lessons, long exclusive articles, my personal help with your mixes and so much more. And all this for a fixed price (!), which is gonna change soon because it’s too much to be honest. But as of now, you can join, get EVERYTHING from the course and also get 12 world level UAD plugins to elevate your mixes to the next level. No hardware required for the plugins. Link for the course is in bio. Feel free to DM me with any questions! If you get the course now, whatever changes I do regarding the access surely will not affect you. As of now, you can get everything for a fixed price. ⚠️ This offer is eligible to people who will join the full course, not if you buy just the materials. New video inside the course this week! A live mixing process of the electronic song, very interesting work, with kick layering techniques and so many interesting decisions. I mixed the song from start to finish live with comments. Let’s goooooo! @natemixing

Not long ago I stopped to accept songs for mixing if artists try to provide “too detailed” notes for the mix. I’m willing to accept any requests. Just tell me how you want the song to sound, I’ll do it. It’s on me how I will achieve it. You want the listener to feel this or that, I’ll do it. You want to sound similar to certain artist, I’ll do it. But when artists send me 100 pages pdf telling how to make every adjustment, “boost 1 kHz here, compress this with 4:1 ratio, 20 ms attack, 100 ms release, add hall reverb there” etc etc, it’s just not worth my time. At this point you can do it yourself, or ask your producer. The problem with this approach is easy. They don’t do it themself because it won’t work out. It’s a trap. If you make things just like they ask it won’t work out. If you won’t make something like they ask it’ll be anger. They think they are experts and expect that if you follow their instructions it’ll sound just like they imagine. You will face endless ego when in reality they just don’t know what they actually want and don’t know how to get there. If you know what you want you can describe how it should sound, not saying what’s needed to be adjusted. It’s on me to get you there. If you are so sure about certain adjustments you can feel free to send me files with them all, it’s okay. I’ll continue the job, pushing the song beyond your mixing capabilities. That’s my job. And I don’t seek to necessarily do everything by myself and be the only person who ever touched mixing on your song. I’m here to help you.

Making a simple beat that sounds really really crazy is way harder than creating a complex beat with a ton of layers that sounds really crazy.

If I can't get the core idea of the beat down in the first 20 minutes then I usually just start a new one.
