@creation247 All the effort of Christ's followers should be in fulfilling Christ's commands to love and care (for Christians in the local church first, for the rest of the community around second) if there is any money left for nice decoration, sure - why not? But it's 0 priority.

@creation247 the answer is simple: Christ never gave any instructions to his followers (=Christians) to build temples, as He considered true temples are in the heart of believers: the church is not the building, but the people - the venue could be anywhere! (cf. homes in early church)
