@1changamire The thing is, its not the responsibility of most of the people you talk about. The gvt should do something. A fund for such tragedies. As for Wicknell, he has the capacity but one wouldn't know his actual motive. Don't guilt trip the rest of the nation please.

I don't even agree with Wicknell most of the time. His associations, his lifestyle, the circles he moves in, most of that sits very uncomfortably with me and I won't pretend otherwise. But that is a separate conversation entirely. The question is what did any of us do for Ronald this week? Not in principle. Not in our "thoughts and prayers". This week, while the soil is still fresh as some of you said. Criticising the method of someone who acted while we debate the ethics of acting is a very comfortable position to hold. It costs nothing and risks nothing. Ronald buried his entire family a few days ago. Whatever you think of who showed up with that car and that money, he woke up this morning with both. If the gesture offends you, the answer is to do better. Go. Be there. Outshine it. Otherwise the critique is just noise...

RUFU NDI MADZONGONYEDZE.😭💔💔🕊🕊🕊 At a time when the CHRISTIAN community in Zimbabwe and across the world was celebrating the EASTER HOLIDAYS, I learnt with DEEP SHOCK the HEARTBREAKING news of a road traffic accident in which SIX LIVES were lost in the most painful and UNIMAGINABLE way. Those precious and YOUNG lives lost were all from the MUJURU FAMILY. I was out of the Country when this TRAGEDY happened, and I am even more SADDENED that our dear brother RONALD MUJURU, lost his beloved WIFE and all FIVE of his CHILDREN in this gruesome accident. May their dear souls rest in ETERNAL PEACE. 🕊️ It is the most difficult and UNIMAGINABLE thing for any parent to bury a CHILD, but to bury FIVE CHILDREN and at the same time, bury your WIFE is the MOST HORRENDOUS thing that no human heart should ever be asked to endure. My brother Ronald, NO WORDS can ever console you, nor can they restore what has been taken, and no one can imagine waking up to such a CRUEL REALITY. The loss of an entire family dims the very PURPOSE of waking up each day and WORKING HARD for those we LOVE the most. I share this grief as a Zimbabwean and as your own HOMEBOY from Zabe in Chivhu, which is so close to our Wiltshire Commercial Farms in Gandami where I was born and raised. I wish to extend my deepest appreciation to our amazing FIRST LADY, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa, who demonstrated that she is indeed the MOTHER OF THE NATION by personally coming to console you and your family in your DARKEST HOUR. Such a gesture demonstrated the true spirit of UBUNTU that binds us together as Zimbabweans. I also acknowledge with respect our Homeboy and MP the Hon. Minister of Transport Felix Mhona , who also personally paid his CONDOLENCES and attended the funeral. In moments such as these, we are reminded that beyond any DIFFERENCES of opinion or persuasion, we are ONE PEOPLE. We mourn together, we COMFORT each other and we carry one another through SORROW as the Holy Bible commands us in Romans 12:15 and 2 Corinthians 1 3-4. While I fully respect the PRIVACY and DIGNITY that this deeply painful moment demands, I feel DUTY-BOUND, as your brother and as a patriotic Zimbabwean who understands LOSS, to extend my condolences. In that spirit, and WITHOUT any desire for RECOGNITION or attention, but purely as a TOKEN of LOVE in our African tradition yekupa CHEMA, I say to my dear brother Ronald, please GO AND SEE VICTOR at Exquisite Car Dealership and collect a brand spanking new 2026 Toyota Fortuner 2,8 GD6 valued at USD 80 000. You will also receive CHEMA of US$50,000 in cash as a humble gesture to support you as you PICK UP yourself from this DEVASTATING and PAINFULL loss. This is all from the bottom of my heart and by no means intended to gain any mileage at the expense of your GRIEF, but a small token to lessen the EMOTIONAL PAIN and unimaginable AGONY you are carrying. My brother RONALD, I am DEEPLY SORRY for your loss, and though nothing can ever heal this wound, I pray that the HOLY SPIRIT becomes your COMFORTER during this difficult time. May the souls of your beloved wife and children rest in ETERNAL PEACE until we are reunited again in the land of EVERLASTING LIFE… 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🕊️🕊🕊

When will Africans finally outgrow this embarrassing and childish tourist syndrome? An African flies to a European country, sees a shiny building or a fancy train, whips out their phone, and immediately runs to social media to cry, "When will our country have this?!" SPOILER ALERT : those train rides are not free. They are directly subsidized by the missing wealth and uncollected taxes of the developing world. Truth is that, while the rest of Europe was tripping over themselves to aggressively extract African resources by sending gunboats, missionaries, and colonial administrators to do their dirty work, Luxembourg was playing 3D chess. They did not need to get their hands bloody or dirty. Instead, they quietly positioned themselves as the ultimate offshore tollbooth for the wealth being plundered from the Global South. Here is how their white-collar criminal network operates: A massive multinational conglomerate digs up copper in Zambia, pumps crude in Nigeria, or mines cobalt in the DRC Congo. By any standard of fairness, the immense wealth generated from those resources should be taxed locally to build the exact same roads, schools, and train networks we keep drooling over. But the global financial system is rigged. Instead of paying their fair share, that corporation sets up a shell company and often literally just a dusty P.O. Box in Luxembourg. And then through the dark arts of corporate accounting known as "profit shifting" and "transfer pricing," the company manipulates its books. The African subsidiary, the one doing the actual extraction, magically records zero profit. Meanwhile, the Luxembourg P.O. Box records billions. Africa gets the environmental degradation, the exploited labor, and a depleted national treasury. Luxembourg gets the capital. Now, Luxembourg taxes these phantom P.O. boxes just enough to make it look legitimate, pulling in about 5% of their GDP. But that’s just the cover charge. When you factor in the massive ecosystem built to service this racket, the armies of corporate lawyers, wealth managers, auditors, and bankers designing these tax-dodging schemes, it accounts for a staggering 30% of Luxembourg’s entire GDP. Put the math together, and you realize that nearly 40% of their national wealth is a monument to laundered money. It is the most flawlessly executed heist in modern history. They managed to siphon the wealth of a continent without firing a single bullet or toppling a single regime.

All buses, trains, and trams are free in this country. For everyone! Luxembourg is unreal. When will your country have this?

@BhushanManmath Batsmen have reinvented themselves, bowlers have not. There was a poor show of bowling. IPL is the next thing that will take cricket to the world. We love those sixes

Same boring IPL again. How are people even finding this entertaining? It’s just flat pitches and "win the toss, win the match." You could set a target of 300 and they’d still chase it down because there’s zero help for the bowlers. There’s no respect for the game and no balance anymore. I’m tired of seeing a four or a six every single ball; it’s not real cricket. A real fan wants to see a pitch where bowlers actually have a chance to take wickets, not just get bullied. Honestly, these flat tracks are boring and meaningless. The IPL has become a joke it feels like watching a game in a local park rather than an international standard tournament. No skill, just mindless hitting.
