New 3h31m video on YouTube: "Deep Dive into LLMs like ChatGPT" This is a general audience deep dive into the Large Language Model (LLM) AI technology that powers ChatGPT and related products. It is covers the full training stack of how the models are developed, along with mental models of how to think about their "psychology", and how to get the best use them in practical applications. We cover all the major stages: 1. pretraining: data, tokenization, Transformer neural network I/O and internals, inference, GPT-2 training example, Llama 3.1 base inference examples 2. supervised finetuning: conversations data, "LLM Psychology": hallucinations, tool use, knowledge/working memory, knowledge of self, models need tokens to think, spelling, jagged intelligence 3. reinforcement learning: practice makes perfect, DeepSeek-R1, AlphaGo, RLHF. I designed this video for the "general audience" track of my videos, which I believe are accessible to most people, even without technical background. It should give you an intuitive understanding of the full training pipeline of LLMs like ChatGPT, with many examples along the way, and maybe some ways of thinking around current capabilities, where we are, and what's coming. Following two days of intense onsite initial assessment by KENAS which extended late into this Friday night, the verdict of the three assessors is that our DKL homegrown state-of-the-art greenfield central lab facility with a first-of-its-kind ultramodern total lab automation “has been recommended for ISO 15189 accreditation”. Alhamdulillah 🤲🏾
Hearty congratulations to the entire DKL team for the starling job done in ensuring that our homegrown startup lab implemented the right quality management system (QMS) that meet the requirement of ISO 15189:2022 standards in readiness for audit within 3 months of setting up the lab, having commenced builders work from May to August 2024 then getting the lab registered by KMLTTB in September 2024 and our go-live lab launch in October 2024.
Special thanks to the team of local Kenyan QMS consultants who supported my DKL team from pre-assessment and document reviews through to training, methods verification and full preparations in readiness for the successful initial assessment.
Also acknowledging the IVD Manufacturers and Suppliers of our Equipment and IT technology whose ultramodern solutions made it a breeze getting our DKL systems ISO 15189 accreditation ready from the start.
A special mention of the KENAS assessors team led by Dr Josephine Rioki the Lead Assessor assisted by Gilbert Kikwai and Arnold Nyagah who are a great credit and testament to KENAS that has itself come of age having been ILAC accredited as a conformity assessment body.
This tremendous step less than three months after getting registered by KMLTTB as a Class G National & International Referral Lab puts @DKLDrKalebiLabs on the right path of verifiable QMS as per international standards and we look forward to serving all our esteemed patients, clients and doctors with unparalleled excellence at our innovative, distributive and disruptive pioneering lab insha’Allah.
