Today, I’m very excited to announce that I will be joining @FTI_Global as the head of Franklin Crypto. The convergence of traditional finance (TradFi) and the digital asset ecosystem is no longer a "future" trend—it is the reality of 2026. As I prepare to step into my new role leading Franklin Crypto with @sethginns and Tony Pecore, I am incredibly energized to help lead this firm’s continued evolution in a space that is fundamentally rewiring how global markets operate. Crypto’s institutional era is upon us, and to succeed, Franklin Crypto must leverage its deep and unique understanding of crypto and traditional finance to build differentiated, scalable and compliant products for our clients. My journey has always been defined by a foot in both worlds: the rigorous, disciplined structures of traditional finance and the high-velocity innovation of the crypto markets. At Franklin Templeton, my goal will be to leverage this unique vantage point to partner with our clients, building the institutional-grade products they need to succeed in this new digital frontier. We aren't just observing the market; we are active participants in its transformation. Markets are tokenizing. The once-distinct lines between crypto and traditional assets are blurring into a single, cohesive financial landscape. Perhaps most importantly, the era of the "9-to-5" market is fading as we embrace the reality of 24/7 global liquidity. It is fascinating to look back even just a few years. Previously, there was a perceived "reputational risk" for an institution to be involved in crypto. Today, that narrative has completely flipped. In 2026, the true reputational risk lies in not having a digital asset strategy. As the "Institutional Era" of crypto takes hold, our clients expect more than just exposure—they expect sophisticated navigation with people they can trust. Franklin Templeton has spent years building the foundational infrastructure—including the proprietary Benji Technology platform—and the deep internal expertise necessary to manage these assets with the same precision as any traditional portfolio. The timing for this transition couldn't be better. We are currently seeing a unique divergence: while broader market sentiment may fluctuate, the underlying fundamentals of the crypto markets continue to improve at an exponential rate. Our mission is simple: to attract the best investment talent, build leading digital infrastructure and support the needs of our clients in this exciting new world. We differentiate ourselves through an exceptionally deep knowledge of both crypto-native protocols and traditional asset management. By combining this expertise with Franklin Templeton’s legacy of operational excellence, we are perfectly positioned to deliver for our clients as they scale their own digital journeys. I look forward to what we will build together.

Anthropic leaked 512,000 lines of Claude Code source code yesterday. What happened in the next 12 hours is absolutely wild. 4 AM. Anthropic pushes an update to npm. Inside the package: their entire codebase. A 60 MB debugging file accidentally bundled in. 23 minutes later, researcher Chaofan Shou spots it. Downloads the zip. Posts it on X. Within 6 hours: 3 million views. By the time Anthropic’s team woke up, the code was forked 41,000+ times across GitHub. Anthropic started firing DMCA takedowns. Too late. A Korean developer named Sigrid Jin woke up to his phone exploding. He’s Claude Code’s biggest power user. WSJ reported he burned through 25 billion tokens last year. He read the leaked code. Rewrote the entire thing in Python in 8 hours. His repo hit 30,000 stars faster than any GitHub project in history. Then he rewrote it again in Rust. That version now has 49,000 stars. Someone mirrored it to a decentralized platform with one message: “will never be taken down.” The code is permanent. Anthropic cannot get it back. Here’s the part I can’t stop thinking about: Anthropic built something called “Undercover Mode.” Its only job: prevent Claude from accidentally leaking internal secrets. They shipped an entire anti-leak system in their own product. Then leaked their own source code in a .map file. Irony is beautiful

@thejobchick This is why you don’t owe any company a 2 week notice. If you’re about to quit any job use all of your PTO and 1-2 days returning you put in your resignation letter with an effective end date, better to time it with the payroll cycle

Met someone today and realized you just can’t disregard a person just because they didn’t have a successful career. So many sharp, knowledgeable people nowhere close to their potential. Not because of lack of ability. But because life wasn’t kind to them.

Saw some people panicking or asking about quantum computing's impact on crypto. At a high level, all crypto has to do is to upgrade to Quantum-Resistant (Post-Quantum) Algorithms. So, no need to panic. 😂 In practice, there are some execution considerations. It's hard to organize upgrades in a decentralized world. There will likely be many debates on which algorithm(s) to use, resulting in some forks. And some dead project may not upgrade at all. Might be a good to cleanse out those projects anyway. New code may introduce other bugs or security issues in the short term. People who self custody will have to migrate their coins to new wallets. This brings to the question of Satoshi's bitcoins. If those coins move, then it means he/she is still around, which is interesting to know. If they don't move (in a certain period of time), it might be better to lock (or effectively burn) those addresses so that they don't go to the first hacker who cracks it. There is also the difficulty of identifying all his addresses, and not confuse with some old hodlers. Anyway, it's a different topic for later. Fundamentally: It's always easier to encrypt than decrypt. More computing power is always good. Crypto will stay, post quantum.
