@dohanews @GiorgiaMeloni @TamimBinHamad Did the Italian PM find a minute to ask the Sheikh about his role in funding islamist terror groups around the Middle East, Qatar’s links to the Muslim Brotherhood, Qatar’s friendly relations with Hamas, and the role Al Jazeera plays in whitewashing Islamism worldwide?

This is very concerning. David Hodne was my Squadron commander during my 08 deployment to Iraq. His morals and honor were unquestionable. He used his personal security detail like a QRF, almost always being the first to help a platoon in contact. Things could have changed, I know rank can do that to a man, but I highly doubt it. The Lt Col Hodne I knew wouldn’t execute an order he believed was immoral, which is why I’m concerned. Paratus et Fidelis, I hope you land on your feet.

🚨 The one thing that unites Trump’s entire inner circle Marco Rubio — a bartender’s son who grew up with nothing. Pete Hegseth — walked away from every easy path to serve. JD Vance — rose from Appalachian poverty and a broken home. Karoline Leavitt — started as a White House intern with no connections. Susie Wiles — toiled 40 years in the shadows before anyone knew her name. Five completely different lives. One unbreakable trait: None of them ever quit. Through every setback, every closed door, every reason to stop — they kept going. Trump didn’t pick them for fame or connections. He picked them because they’re exactly like him: fighters who refuse to stay down. That’s not just a Cabinet. That’s a team built to carry America forward — no matter what. This hit hard today. 😭🙏🇺🇸 Drop a ❤️ if you see it too. Type “QUITTERS NEVER WIN” below. Tag someone who needs this reminder. #TrumpTeam #NeverQuit #MAGA #MarcoRubio #JDVance #PeteHegseth #KarolineLeavitt #SusieWiles #AmericaFirst

@Simon_Nixon The pain of gas prices is imminent, thats why the Euros are throwing a tantrum to not get rocked at the polls. EU Politicians have fake balls that they pull out in times like this then when their people start revolting they resort to blaming others.

Now Italy follows Spain in denying US landing rights, while Poland refuses US request to transfer Patriot missiles and cracks emerge in US/UK intelligence sharing. The transatlantic alliance is breaking down in front of us
ChrisO_wiki@ChrisO_wiki

1/ The US attempted to send several Iran-bound bombers to an Italian air base without prior authorisation and was refused permission by the Italian government while the aircraft were in flight. The news comes a day after Spain disclosed it was refusing US military overflights. ⬇️

Poland’s new conservative president Karol Nawrocki speaking clearly about what Russia really is at @CPAC in Dallas: “In Europe today, we face an aggressive Russia. A regime that invades its neighbors, a regime that destroys cities, a regime that believes power gives it the right to dominate others. The same regime is trying to tell the world: 'We are the defenders of traditional values.' That is a lie. Russia is not defending conservatism. Russia represents corruption and violence."

Seizing territory isn't the hard part. Holding it is. In Strait, the U.S. doesn't have air superiority at lower altitudes, and conducting ground ops without it is very costly (see Ukr). "Secure uranium stockpiles" also assumes we know where they all are and can reach them.
Lara Seligman@laraseligman

If President Trump gives the go-ahead, the U.S. could soon have more than 17,000 ground troops on Iran’s doorstep. That is far short of what would be needed for a full-scale invasion, but they could seize strategic territory on the mainland, secure Tehran’s uranium stockpiles or take an island. wsj.com/politics/natio…

I think a little bit faith in the worlds most powerful, advanced military is needed. Nobody makes these decisions on personal whims anymore. All the timelines have been aggressively run through using AI models. Extreme risk modeling is done using the most advanced technologies! This is unlike Biden admins decision making where the academics who never touched mathematics or computer science in their entire lives made mega blunders!

The war in Iran is having some nasty side effects that ripple out in ways you might not expect. Afghanistans biggest trade partner is now cut off causing more starvation there , insurgencies on Pakistan’s border with Iran are taking advantage of the chaos . Instability wobble.

Fox News’ Bret Baier: “Congresswoman Nancy Mace came out of a classified briefing and seemed to reveal some of what was reportedly discussed about possible ground operations in Iran. There’s people who ask, why should the administration brief Congress when Congress can’t keep a secret? Are there any punishments for Congresswoman Mace in this instance?” House Speaker Mike Johnson: “It is not lawful to leak classified information. I’m not suggesting that’s what Nancy did there, but it is a problem. I mean, we had a big briefing for all House members in the congressional auditorium, and it’s a lower level of classification because some of these things are so sensitive. And there is a breach of trust here,” he said. “And that’s a problem for the institution and something we need to address in the long run because we’ve got to get back to these– secrecy is important, especially at a time of international conflict.”
