In fact in Graham, NC, the minister leading the march paused it on the route into town, referenced John Lewis and said there wouldn’t be a repeat of Bloody Sunday today. A few minutes later, local PD were pepper spraying elders and children who wearing their Halloween costumes.

My biggest takeaway: The NeoConfederates who are ALWAYS out & confrontational nearly every weekend in Graham stood back. Instead of jeering the march like they did in July (last time Drumwright mobilized) they stood back, way on the othersode of the courthouse and just watched.

Today in #GRAHAMNC I went to a permitted March to the Polls lead by Rev Drumwright and others. Starting at a Black AME church, Rev Drumwright started the march by asking folks what our intentions were. TO VOTE the crowd chanted. Its the last day of Early Voting in #NC.

At least two people arrested, including a journalist. His arms were twisted behind his back. Police tear gassed people, including children and journalists. I got gassed. #Graham #Election2020
