I blame the EU for this, it's a logical outcome of your policies. You've been warned over and over. The fluffy rhetoric is not going to make a blind bit of difference. The attack on 25 July at Berlin Pride is a stark reminder that the right to celebrate who you are, safely and openly, cannot be taken for granted. Pride was born as a protest, and in many places it still has to be one. The EU stands with the LGBTIQ+ community, in Germany and everywhere. Defending the right to live openly, without fear, is not a seasonal gesture, it is a continuous commitment. Hate does not get the last word.
