@Three_Cone Defense is up for sure but man the offensive coordination is terrible by many teams. Hawks, Rockets, Magic, Suns, Raptors, Celtics and also Lakers lack a true floor general and coaching isn’t inspiring too. I see 3rd division euro basketball with better half court offense.

If you know someone who’s a “NBA is all offense no defense” person, show them this Pistons Magic series and their whole world view will be shook

@MattBrooksNBA Like the trend but honestly bad playmaking in a slow paced half court game might be the real reason. Rockets, Lakers, Raptors, Suns, Magic, Hawks all have no true lead guard and it showed. Lakers got lucky until now.

Kind of feels like we’re seeing a real-time shift away from the three-point movement in the NBA. It’s a defense league now

@Three_Cone He is a mad man and I respect that BUT Vuc didn’t even play in game 7, he threw a Hail Mary with the rotation and their GM of the year didn’t really address weaknesses at the deadline. I know the priority was the cap. But this 45+ 3s a game isn’t sustainable and poor execution

@ohnohedidnt24 Man Jaylen Brown really turned me off this season. Finally he developed a dribble, took the leader role, had a great year. Off the court he is active in the community, educated but the moment he speaks about basketball and other teams/players only unreflected shit comes out

Jaylen Brown on Joel Embiid: "He's a big body. He also was flopping around. He got some extra calls and stuff like that and they rewarded him for that. But that's the league that we're in" 👀👀👀

@AndrewKSchlecht Man that’s bad news and good news at once. Didn’t know she and your family is going through this but I‘m glad the positivity is high and it’s always good to address fighting cancer and make people aware. Nothing but the best for you guys!!!

Update on my wife Amy She just finished her 4th chemo session and is doing well. Still a long road ahead with her breast cancer. If you want to support her and our family you can buy an A Team shirt (we all have A names). Thank you for the continued prayers and support! down-to-dunk.myshopify.com

@Three_Cone Sixers in 6 Question: Paul George just turned 36 (THIRTYSIX) and has three years left on a max contract, was mediocre, is barely available and had his PED suspension he claimed was because of substances for mental health problems. Rate the PG8 experience so far D

@Three_Cone If Boston somehow wins this they will continue to play this 45+ 3s game till infinity. If they lose they need to question their approach. Philly is on the edge of a disastrous season and if they advance people will applaud what they‘ve done. Maxey is the real deal though

@Three_Cone Boston’s offense is totally uninspiring. Ballhandler gets a screen and that’s the only two guys moving on the floor. Someone will shoot a three or something improvised will happen on a drive, lob or a middy. Hard to watch. 2nd devision euro basketball is more coordinated.

@steeder10 I also kept hearing we are witnessing the most skilled era ever… Maybe this whole jack up 3s till infinity and don’t know how to run a slow paced half court game might have something to do with it. Or we shouldn’t confuse ‚skills‘ with B-Ball IQ

There has been ~ 7000 total playoff games in NBA/ABA history. Orlando, Houston and Atlanta just accounted for 3 of the top 5 worst offensive halves in NBA history, within a 24 hour time frame. Houston’s current shooting splits are 27/21/60 and Orlando just finished the second half shooting 10.8% from the field. We will never see another outlier of basketball this bad in our lifetimes.

@TheNBACentel Banchero reminds me of a young Blake Griffin minus the highlights. Not a bad player, can pass the ball too but overly many holes in his game that need to be addressed. The lack of a true playmaker is very obvious and maybe they should have traded for Towns back then.

@subvert_hk @Three_Cone We all know how this ended in Miami.. no one, not two, … I really don’t care tbh. As long as Sam, the staff, coaches and players do it this way they are on track to fully compete going forward. That’s all I care about. Top notch org and if no major injuries come, we are there

how many rings do you think the Thunder will have when this era is done? i’m guessing at least 4, maybe up to 7 i just don’t see any organisation that is as competent as the Thunder, nor has as many assets nor do i see any team that’s playing as cohesively as this squad on the floor

@itszabdielyo @kawhi_ring We come to the point where we debate opinions. To say LeBron guarded the best player in his prime is a huge stretch, mostly others on his team did. He never was robbed of a DPOY imo. LeBron is one of the all time greats, no doubt about it yet still Jordan was a pest on d.

LeBron was robbed of DPOY and MJ's defensive prowess is overrated with statpadded home stocks. LeBron's GOAT case is more than just being "two-way" (which he is when the game demands him to do so and in his prime he guarded the best players, not delegating it to his Scottie). He is the most complete player the game has ever seen: scoring, passing/playmaking, rebounding, defending, clutch. He can do it all, and he did most of these aspects consistently for two decades, which resulted in him being the scoring leader, 4th in all time assists, most playoffs wins, most career wins, etc.

@Three_Cone I hope it’s the Rockets cause if we talk free throws, the Lakers for sure will have the edge here. They had 450 more FTA in the regular season than their opponents and that’s a huge factor why the made it to the POs. Had such a slim +/- for their record an that’s a factor.
