Generally stopped using Twitter since all the X nonsense in favour of LinkedIn and Reels from my daily scrolling fix. Still lots of interesting stuff here though that I don’t see elsewhere. Maybe should pick it back up more.

@thomasforth A fair bit of money comes from selling the data (look at Dunnhumby profits) but putting regular offers behind the loyalty “wall” has also increased participation (from an already high level, think mid 80s%) and therefore also increases the quality of the data.

Are they making much money from selling the data? I'd understood, and am still told, that they're not really. But then my contacts in the industry are at the West Yorkshire supermarkets (Asda, Morrisons) which aren't really doing loyalty cards. So maybe I'm out of touch.

I went to the Monument one at lunchtime today which has the new hybrid setup and it actually had quite a few customers in (to my surprise). Most people paying by card. Much bigger and a lot more stock than the ones I saw in New York in Jan too.

To give credit to @CadburyUK, I think most would agree the new Fruitier & Nuttier is healthier than standard Fruit & Nut.
It’s same calories. But lower sat fat (5.4g vs 15g), lower sugar (34g vs 53.5g), and more fibre (7.9g vs 2.7g).
Tho’ that’s because it’s not much chocolate!
