something I want to point out is that there are tracks named w.ogg (unused) d.ogg (used in weird route) then g is the name of DELTARUNE patcher (it was different before chapters 3&4) and in chapter 4 we have letter a, you know who is placing his name across time and space i see.

it'd be really funny if there was a third toby fox game that has like a completely different artstyle and no characters from UTDR, but then suddenly like half way through sans is just there.

I get it now, since friend is seemingly hunting down the forgotten man, the reason he can only speak in mancountry is because theres no dark spots there, he dont want to risk speaking in dark places

@nonworkingpen i don't understand why toby only added this 2 weeks after release. the "chapter 5 has no lore" people would be much happier if there was a scene of someone talking about gaster on release.

This moment is even creepier if you interpret most of Friend's appearances as them being accidentally spotted while following you in the darkness. The game recognizes there's *something* hidden in the dark watching you so it lets you target it, but it's unable to tell what it is

@Starhermits @Eo_Ortex i think blackout attacks work in a way that the slash is somehow mirrored(?) like when Knight slashed Flowery the rip didn't match the slash (or else it is a really strange oversight)

@Eo_Ortex Funny thing about the slash being in this direction is that the Knight can teleport lol. We see this in a few of its unused attack animations, plus it isn’t on screen after the slash

Normal route is the player largely following the rules of the world and confronting The Knight. Weird route involves tearing at the narrative (not the game) and confronting Gaster. A third route would presumably be messing with the actual game world and confronting FRIEND.

something I find interesting is that knight's blackout attacks are mirrored to the actual damage dealt, is there a reason for this?

@Artsyrean I'm like 60% sure there is no such person as Papyrus Deltarune. Sans is making up a fake brother. Having a real one in UT is just gaster fucking with him ig.
