Hey David, hope you're well, I come in peace. I'm the product of an exclusively white working class background, white friends, white teachers, white coaches and a passion for my country displayed most recently following the England team, with flag, proudly in Germany. My life experience has been until 20 when I moved to London to play for Crystal Palace, a white working class one. But people look at me as a black man because of my visible characteristics. On here, I get called coon, nigger, hang myself, go home. 4 convictions for racial abuse towards me, and today spent 3 hours on the phone to lawyers as I'm suing two separate individuals for libel. They'll be numbers 6 and 7 over the years, all have settled before court. So I am a product, literally of "both sides" of a racial divide that is not of my making, of which I've talked about on here for 16 years, including this week calling for a national town hall series of reconciliation debates to find out what Britain wants. I don't know what more I can do? Sit and watch a black carer have his car torched? A Muslim bus driver spat at? Trying to be open about immigration? I am literally using my platform to both not be intimidated by people with some heinous and disturbing content on their feed, while simultaneously offering anyone with mental health issues my email address, regardless of race or politics. Isn't that the definition of middle ground? If someone calls me a nigger, I'll respond. And if you wouldn't, you're either a liar or don't understand how upsetting it is. If the most extreme far right politician wants to talk and find solutions for anything, I'll talk to them. But they don't want to talk, they want to deny me my nationality, belittle my lived experience as "moaning" and want to rub people out of their homes and places of worship given a chance. I respect you because you've never resorted to insults, I respect anyone who made it to pro level in any sport and as a sports broadcaster too. But suggesting being partisan or being played simply isn't fair nor the truth. There hasn't been a decade on my life that I haven't been called a nigger, coon or having my nationality questioned. Something you never have or will have to conjure with. Stay well. Stan Collymore.

It appears that way and of course this is better than smashing up streets. But we are witnessing classic divide and rule through black and white polarity perceptions on both 'sides'. There is a middle ground in which all voices can be legitimately heard and harmony only comes when we find it.

I'm a semi-professional snooker player playing at a national level. I still have to sing the chorus to Snooker Loopy by Chas & Dave to remember what order to pot the colours.

💙 Emotional day today Off to spend the afternoon with my mum and her husband at their home before he moves into a dementia care home next week. I’ve got a hamper full of cake and goodies for us all to enjoy in the garden one last time. 💙 Alzheimer’s is such a cruel illness 💙

Maybe we shouldn't have cancelled those Rwanda flights after all. My feed appears to be full of rioters who look like they could do with leaving this country and never coming back. Pretty harsh on Rwanda to do that though.
