Only when Canaan had been pacified and economically stimulated by Jewish immigrants did Palestine become a desirable place to live. Then Arabs immigrated to Palestine precisely because of what Jews had made of the place. Because newly arrived Jews were prosperous where Arabs had failed to thrive, they were resented … but if all Jews had been driven out then, there is no reason to believe that “Palestine” would not have immediately reverted to the lawless, feckless, impoverished, unproductive region it had been before. Whatever Canaan might have been when Moses arrived millennia ago (a land of “milk and honey”), it was an anarchic desert when the Zionists arrived to make it a fit homeland for the stateless Jews scattered through the world. I have spoken with Secretary of State Marco Rubio and our Ambassador in Caracas. The EU is closely monitoring the situation in Venezuela. The EU has repeatedly stated that Mr Maduro lacks legitimacy and has defended a peaceful transition. Under all circumstances, the principles of international law and the UN Charter must be respected. We call for restraint. The safety of EU citizens in the country is our top priority.

@geoestratego Lo voy a decir en castellano y con respeto (tb pot ser en català, izan daiteke euskaraz). Mucha gente de este estado no se siente parte de la nación española. Para nosotros es un castigo y consecuencia de la derrota en guerra. Seguiremos.

Debe ser muy triste vivir en un país al que se odia, por ignorancia o por mala fe, o una mezcla de ambas. Esto solo pasa en España. En cualquier otro país del mundo, con independencia de la filiación ideológica o política que se tenga, es prácticamente imposible encontrar a un alto cargo político que haga este tipo de afirmaciones contra su propia patria y su historia. Así nos va todo en nuestra querida España.

12 de Octubre 📹 El vídeo de Pedro Sánchez es bien interesante; igual lo trabajamos en clase. 🇪🇸🪖🚫Ni una sola bandera española (ni monárquica ni republicana) , ni una referencia a América Latina (siendo 12 de octubre) y ni una imagen de militares. 💃🏽Se sustituye plurinacionalidad por folclore (danzas “regionales” e incluso Lola Flores 🤔) y paisajes “diversos”. 🖼️ El Gernika aparece como referencia memorialista antifascista. 🇵🇸🏳️‍🌈Después muchos movimientos sociales: feminismo, ecologismo, LGTBI más allá de la transfobia dominante en el PSOE y movimiento de solidaridad con Palestina. 🧑‍⚕️👩‍🚒Y muchos servicios públicos (sanidad, bomberos…). 🙇🙇‍♀️Los asesores del presidente intuyen bien que solo se puede enfrentar ideológicamente a la derecha con marcos que aluden a valores de izquierdas pero no entran ni al tema latinoamericano ni a la plurinacionalidad. Es mucho mejor esto que la reivindicación del chuletón 🥩 o de los amigos cuarentones que no entienden el feminismo de Irene Montero. 🤐El PSOE sabe que su base electoral es progresista cuando no abiertamente de izquierdas pero sigue habiendo dos temas tabú: el carácter plurinacional del Estado y el problema de la relación con las naciones latinoamericanas. 🧥Veremos un PSOE en camapaña con chaqueta de pana y muchas banderas arcoíris. Igual hasta su gente les cuela alguna bandera republicana en los mítines pero siguen lejos de poder enfrentar ideológicamente a una derecha que va con todo. ⚫️Haberse unido al PP y VOX para favorecer las corridas de toros, la felicitación a una golpista como Corina Machado, los asteriscos en el decreto de embargo para poder seguir comerciando con Israel o el cierre de filas con la OTAN señalan debilidades que la derecha no tiene. 🙌 ¿Se puede ganar a las derechas? Se puede pero para eso hace falta adelantar las líneas. 🔴Hoy es el día de reivindicar la dignidad latinoamericana frente a la monarquía española, el día de reivindicar la República como proyecto de Estado de soberanías compartidas, de dejar a los militares en los cuarteles y de proponer que la fiesta plurinacional sea el 15-M. En realidad en euskera se felicita con “eguberri on” que se traduce como “feliz día nuevo” o dicho más claro: feliz solsticio de invierno. Esto es muy antiguo. Será que los vascos somos todos gilipollas. En fin.
