@OmarKelly For me, it’s that the structure put the owner as the person in charge since Parcells. There has been a culture of negotiated outcomes for decades. When no one is in charge, everyone is

@PFF_RyanSmith You can. You'll have a roster that looks like an expansion team, though. The Chief have options because they have deeper talent.

@OmarKelly birthday question (50) — would you consider keeping Tua for a year to assess the incoming WR room refresh? Why pay Tua AND pay a backup?

@OmarKelly TE for Miami - a large wide receiver that isn’t fast enough to play wide receiver and doesn’t block well

@Joe_W_Dolphins I don't think that's fair criticism. I have used a executive recruiter and interviewed 20 candidates that they've already screened and had the "Oh!" moment. Usually, it happens in the first 10 mins... the rest is confirmatory diligence.

Michael Dieter, Solomon Kindley, Larcel Coleman, Isaac Asiata, Liam Eichenberg and Jonah Savaiinaea. He did hit on Robert Hunt, Austin Jackson and Patrick Paul, who is a $100M player after this season if he stays healthy.

@OmarKelly Offensive line and defensive line? Where were these picks?

@OmarKelly Do you think Mike would be good as Chiefs OC if Nagy leaves for a HC position? Mike’s running game innovations could help KC bounce back quickly. Andy would help him with in-game decision making and that man’s coaching tree gets looked at for HC’s.

I would get it if the Dolphins kept Tua. There are pros and cons to both. I think it will be harder to find a franchise QB with Tua, so I would get it over with and move on. Miami hasn't had a franchise QB in two decades. I want as many chances as possible to fix that.
Jason Kirkland@1bigdad424

@DanteCollinelli I understand you perspective, but since they have to pay him, regardless of if he's on the team, why not just have him be the backup and play the guy they'd like to go forward with? If they draft a guy, have Ewers, they need a vet in that room. Just use the one they have.

Three Mile Island cleaned up quicker than the Dolphins QB situation over the past 13 years
Dolphins Blogger@DolphinsBlogger

@davehydesports Exactly. Thanks Dave. Miami fans out here acting like they know QBs when they kept 2 guys for 13 years who never showed anything.

@OmarKelly Yikes... how many years can you talk about this type of stuff? Is there any other explanation other than the offense is too complicated (and there's a lot less motion than there used to be OR the coaching isn't getting folks ready? What am I missing?

There will be a long line of teams trying to hire Tomlin if he’s fired. And keep in mind he just signed an extension.
Luke Fader@lukefader

@OmarKelly Would he actually want to coach the Dolphins? Then maybe yes, but you could just wait for the firing and make him an offer he couldn't refuse.

@OmarKelly He’s clearly diminished. Shows up the most in escapability, but I worry that some of the accuracy issues are because of it as well (when his feet aren’t set on the right timing). Do you worry he might be a descending player?

@schadjoe @MrWillFoxworth Really? 6 OL packages and running on 3rd and one is toughening up. Going for it with that much time left and another CB out with injury was asking for trouble. Being smart isn’t the same thing as being soft.

The Dolphins have been called soft and not physical for years Mike McDaniel tries to change up a narrative (and win a game) by powering in Ollie Gordon II from the goal line and 4th down and is stopped I do not blame the play call
