@brendanshowbiz Looking at the schedule, there were about 4 games where Dobes had been playing well and earned the net, but Monty got the start instead. Who knows how those games would’ve gone otherwise but I think it’s safe to assume that’s cost us roughly 5 points. Could mean no playoffs.

Folks - the Habs are first in the Eastern Conference in goals per game and 14th in goals against. Vastly overpaying to add more offence is NOT the solution.

Oliver Kapanen is on pace for 26 goals as an NHL rookie. The most goals scored by the second-most productive center on a Montreal club in the past 29 years is 21. Not sure that trading for a top-two center is the club's biggest need at this point. Bigger issues on defence IMO.
