Britain has paid Norway over £100 billion for gas since 2021. For gas they’re drilling in the North Sea, the same sea Ed Miliband has banned new drilling in on the British side. Madness.

There are no high solar & wind, low cost nations You are told that solar and wind are cheap But cramming in more solar and wind just makes electricity more and more costly because solar and wind are worthless when not sunny and windy iea.org/data-and-stati… You can see all the references in my Twitter thread: x.com/BjornLomborg/s…

The Green Brief ( Greensreport)
Bang on, Lee. Sly News finally asking the right question. This isn't just Miliband being ideologically captured. Look at who benefits from the UK decommissioning the North Sea while global conflicts rage. Qatar and the US LNG cartel are the immediate winners. The Tony Blair Institute (yes, that Blair) just called on Labour to reverse the ban not out of patriotism, but because the City of London's financial interests are now deeply tied to importing energy, not producing it . The UK's gas storage is a week. Germany has 90 days . That's not an accident. That's a policy choice that makes us perpetually dependent on spot markets—which US producers now dominate. Meanwhile, the EU alignment stuff Starmer is pushing locks us into Brussels' carbon border taxes, which hit domestic industry hardest while leaving Qatari LNG (hello, Establishment donors) untouched . The 'Net Zero' rhetoric is the cover story. The real story is: British energy sovereignty was traded for financial services access and Qatari investment deals. And now, with Hormuz blocked, we're seeing the bill."

🚨And there you have it. Sly News are finally GETTING IT! If Labour actually cared about reducing carbon emissions and making us less dependent on imports from Qatar they would do *MORE* drilling in the North Sea. @Ed_Miliband's entire Net Zero argument DESTROYED in 2 minutes

‘The most destructive wildfires in Southern California history. The region’s wettest holiday season. The hottest March heat wave on record. In the last 15 months, the Southland has seen a trio of extreme weather events, and UC climate scientist Daniel Swain says there’s one clear through line connecting them all. “All of the superlative extremes we’ve seen in recent years — from extreme heat to extreme dryness to extreme wetness, and even the severe wildfires — they all have clear links to climate change,” he said. The ongoing heat wave shattering dozens of temperature records in Southern California is no exception, Swain said.’ latimes.com/california/sto…

@MrMatthewTodd A child born today could live to be 100 yo. That is 2126. In 2126, the CO2 level will be about 700 ppm (430+2.7 x 100). The average global temp will prob be 7° F higher than pre industrial levels. There will be no glaciers. Antarctica will be rapidly melting. Ski areas will close

This war is only needed by the USA and Russia, no one else. Only with an oil price of 160 dollars per barrel can the USA and Russia start developing new fields on their territories, which are not profitable at a price of 40-60 dollars. They do not need the competitor in the Middle East, they are destroying it with a 5-10 year war against Iran, wiping out 90% of all production. The USA will not be able to develop in 10 years and will hit an economic dead end with a price of 50-60 dollars, but with a price of 160 it will extend the possibility of economic development for 50 years, grabbing Venezuela's oil, maybe part of Iran or the Middle East, which it will take for 20 and sell for 160. But what will the EU, China and the USA do in 50 years when all the energy runs out? What will charge phones and Teslas? They will have to wait for Russian minds to develop new energy based on the work of Bogomolov and Ostretsov. Without them, the world will be left without Teslas. The USA and China know this.

🇷🇺🇮🇷 Putin: “Anyone who spreads chaos in the Middle East for their own interests will not be spared.” The message comes as more countries get pulled into the situation. Vague… but definitely not subtle. x.com/TMT_arabic/sta…

🇮🇷 Iran’s women’s national team returned from Australia and were welcomed with an official ceremony in Tehran. A rare non-conflict moment making headlines. Nice change of pace for once.

Putin’s warning hits like a hammer: Anyone spreading chaos in the Middle East for their own interests WILL NOT be spared. Clear message to the real culprits, the US, Israel, and their Arab allies who launched the FIRST unprovoked strikes on Iran, assassinated its leaders, and ignited this war. You attacked first. You own the blood and the chaos. Now reap what you sowed. Russia just said what the world is thinking.
