@DanFriedman81 not stepping on the lines of sexual harassment is always reasonable. there is no one way to achieve a good script, thats not what a creative process like scriptwriting is. especially for an industry which so much experience working around constraints

@DanFriedman81 the shows success does not make this any less unprofessional, especially if it is making your actors uncomfortable. we can acknowledge that they made a good script while also condemning the method they used. they should be called out so that the industry does not tolerate this.

The process on that show was that the guys in the writers room would start with the filthiest most off the wall stuff they could come up with to make each other laugh in the room, and then they would take those concepts and work them into something appropriate for broadcast.
In the 90s, “Friends” was considered risqué and boundary-pushing and that was a huge factor in its popularity.
