More than 36 hours have passed since the tragic killing of Brigadier Mukesh Joshi on the streets of #Dehradun. What is equally disheartening is that it feels not just like a life has been lost but that basic courtesy & civility has died as well. At the time of writing this (8.45 PM on March 31, 2026); I am yet to see a single message of condolence from anyone in authority from the #Uttarakhand government. If this is how we treat our veterans it raises grave questions about our collective sense of respect & responsibility. A few sincere words can never ever ease the family’s pain but the least they do is reflect empathy & acknowledgment. @Anoopnautiyal1 I think we lack leadership the state fairly has no representation of its own and it's causing a lot of damage everyone is chasing money and is mostly sold out. These parasites have deep roots now.

Chase Crime, Not Criminals: #Uttarakhand & its capital of #Dehradun are in the throes of a massive law & order breakdown scenario with a series of regular, in-your-face murders in public spaces in broad daylight between 10 AM to 12 noon. The approach of the state leadership is to ask the police to run after the criminal after the crime has happened. Instead, as experts inform us, the prudent approach is to chase the crime before it's likely to happen, not the criminal (reactive vs proactive approach). What's the solution? Go back to the basics of policing, be proactive, ensure the chain of command is not compromised, increase your interface with the public and if you can't eliminate, at-least genuinely agree & reduce alleged corruption at all levels. @pushkardhami @OfficeofDhami @uttarakhandcops

Welcome to the state of #Uttarakhand that prides itself as being the land of Gaura Devi & Sunderlal Bahuguna and on the other cuts thousands of trees so that many more tourists & real estate developers from Delhi/other places can come to #Mussoorie, #Dehradun & neighbouring areas. Remember that Mussoorie does not have parking for more than 2000 to 3000 cars but many more thousand trees have been cut & will be cut in the coming months & years for higways, expressways & elevated corridors to go to Mussoorie. I am deeply devastated looking at this ongoing slaughter of thousands of trees for the upcoming Asarodi-Jhajra highway. Picture is dated yesterday, January 4, 2026. RIP Doon Valley 🙏
