the single strongest argument for giving trans ppl hrt is that it works. the fact that you can actually, meaningfully, change your sex needs to be at the forefront of all trans advocacy/education going forward

@shintakuayame I was reading a book about the science of testosterone and it's crazy how even things like T being considered the "male" hormone are pretty arbitrary and under emphasizes the importance of T levels for women as well

@hotgirlbussy I assume a lot of it is actually being aimed at cís people and so is focused on coddling their anxieties by emphasizing a vague "you should accept these freaks bc that's the kind thing to do" without being confronted with the fact that trans ppl might be similar to them

I feel like the language that LGBT orgs use on their websites and pamphlets etc is conversion therapy. Like I didn't know that I could actually transioning before I saw actually trans women documenting their experience online.

It’s fine to not have sex. Sex positivity, the theory, hasn’t ever suggested such. However, viewing sex between men and women as inherently degrading for women is harmful and doesn’t make your line of thinking much different from the misogynistic men you say you hate.
