@1_Stupid_Fuck @marki2059 It is quite clear, then, that there is a citizenship of the United States, and a citizenship of a State, which are distinct from each other, and which depend upon different characteristics or circumstances in the individual. —Justice Miller

@marki2059 Which is horse shit because right in Wong Kim Ark the opinion uses both terms as very different things.

The focus on the term "domicile" by Mr. Sauer is good but he didn't put in the work to fully flush out that term. "Domicile" only applies to white citizens of a State. "Resident" would apply to US citizens and aliens. Had he explained this and given more structure and evidence to his domicile argument, it could have been a great position.

@ptpasta @kachinuel @WallStreetMav You’re confusing why the plaintiffs lost with your theory. They lost because the Court said the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution doesn’t cover economic monopoly disputes like that—not because it created two tiers of citizens.

If the Supreme Court decides anyone who just arrived and pops out a baby can have a US citizen, then this country is finished. It was a nice experiment. We made a huge mistake allowing in the 3rd world to screw it up.

IS TAX WITHHOLDING REALLY VOLUNTARY? Joe Banister was a criminal investigator for the IRS, until he discovered the truth about how withholding works… he argues the entire system begins with what he calls a “voluntary” agreement most Americans never question. Visit stopthefed.com On Episode 74 of Going Rogue with Lara Logan, former IRS Special Agent Joseph Banister explains what he believes is the starting point of income tax withholding in America. Banister points to the W-4 form, describing it as a voluntary withholding agreement between employee and employer, not a direct contract with the IRS. He argues this is the moment where workers authorize money to be taken from their paycheck. He explains that once an employer withholds those funds, they are legally required to send that money to the government, calling it a “trust fund” obligation. Banister also breaks down the difference between W-2 employees and 1099 contractors, noting that in both cases the IRS still receives income records regardless of whether an individual files a return. He further claims that many 1099 forms are not legally required and are often filed by businesses as a precaution. Lara challenges him directly, pressing on whether opting out is realistic and what the risks could be for everyday Americans. A controversial and thought provoking conversation on law, compliance, and the power of government. @ptpasta @kachinuel @WallStreetMav This is a lot of words to avoid admitting you can’t back up your claims with actual law. “You’ve moved from constitutional claims → to definitions → to vague philosophy, and still haven’t cited a single law or case. That tells me everything.

@RonSau5n @kachinuel @WallStreetMav The state citizens were denied an opinion in their favor as they were denied the equal protection claim of the 14th Amendment. Read the entire opinion of Justice Miller.

@ptpasta @kachinuel @WallStreetMav Show me where The Slaughter-House Cases says U.S. citizens only have ‘privileges’ and not rights. It doesn’t—because that claim isn’t in the opinion.

@ptpasta @kachinuel @WallStreetMav That makes no sense. The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution literally says you are a citizen of the state where you reside. If you don’t reside in a state, you’re not a state citizen. You can’t just redefine words to win an argument.

The Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution settled this over 150 years ago: ‘All persons born or naturalized in the United States… are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.’ There isn’t a separate class where one has rights and the other doesn’t. That ‘U.S. citizen vs state citizen’ hierarchy isn’t recognized by any court. Not one. It’s a common sovereign citizen theory that gets rejected every time it shows up in actual legal cases.

The amount of people commenting and messaging about the oral arguments today make me so happy. THE NORMAL GROUNDFLOOR PICKLETARIAN COULD HAVE WIPED THAT SUPREME COURT FLOOR. How cool is that? The Supreme Court is literally a sandbox for us. That shows you how far we have come and where we are headed 🥒📈
