@Theholisticpsyc I remember getting feedback early in my career that I needed to engage in small talk before talking about... work. I was told by my manager that it was disconcerting for the general population to approach someone's cubicle at work and immediately ask about something work-related.

Small talk feels unbearable when we’re seeking authentic connection.

@rotor_motor13b @Linds54 Not sure prices has changed this year, but I paid last very cold December in Bulgaria, around £,100, gas boiler, small flat with included the government help . ( There was a percentage paid by the gov.monthly last year ). So I m surprised someone paid £30 only, but good thing .

My friend in Bulgaria paid £30 for his energy for a detached house in November. We are on track to pay £600 this month for ours in the UK. Yet a tonne of coal and a MMcf of natural gas both cost the same the world over.. So, can anybody explain why we are paying 20 times more?
