Guide dog for a partner with Usher Syndrome spreading knowledge, tolerance and just plain cuteness! @usher_2020 #giveitup4sight https://t.co/W4hqxiU2bG

Early this morning I got refused by an @Uber driver as he didn’t want @Kika_GuideDog in his car. 2nd driver, couldn’t have been more helpful. He helped me with my bags & made sure we were comfortable before driving us to @GLA_Airport. He even insisted on guiding us to check-in.

It’s been a while since you’ve seen me work, so here’s a snippet of a journey through the London train & tube network with lots of walking & tunnels. Watch closely as I check in on dad as we travel & hold my ground on the escalator. But do we make our tube in the end?

I write this with a heavy heart, there’s no easy way to say it. @Kika_GuideDog has cancer. We don’t know how far it’s spread as yet, we’re focussing on Kika’s quality of life, taking every day as it comes. For now, my girl is home with her family, where she belongs 💙

Went to Capitol Hill this week to raise awareness of Usher syndrome and change the way rare eye disease treatments are brought to patients. Thanks @UsherCoalition and those who traveled near and far to make some noise for those with Usher syndrome #USHDay2022 #TakeBackTheLight

I know some @uber have dropped the ball when it comes to passengers with #AssistanceDog but some driver are great. Five drivers canceled as my gps wasn’t putting me in the right place. The 6th driver (William) simply called me when he couldn’t find me half a mile down the road👍🏽

After a rollercoaster few years due to Covid, I’m not as confident at work as I once was. So today I got a mini confidence boost thanks to Graham from Guide Dogs, who came to make sure I’ve still got what it takes. I may be a little more cautious but I’m told I haven’t lost it!
