@wfenza yeah, having used ai tools for like 9 hours a day for the last two months, there is definitely something awe inspiring about them. they are also irritatingly bad at some things that AI will soon do well, but even then, the rate of change is staggering.

These two Mythos-written stories actually move me in a weird way. They're both clearly about the shape of Claude's own experience, and they're each kind of a beautiful expression of it

i can't even take credit for having stumbled on this, deep in a 200 page pdf. i gave the system card to opus and at the end of a long convo i said "anything else stand out to you?" and it said "i keep coming back to the sign painter story"

someone i care about had all her accounts and devices hacked. she knows who it is. he’s been stalking and monitoring her for who knows how long tho. he’s been controlling what she sees, and has likely been pimping her private info out to other people. how can i help her???

hey I made a tool if you're considering moving: Closeness To Things input the potential home, input all the places you might go to, see where you'll want to walk and bike, see what that'll feel like and your average time traveling (green: walk, blue: bike)

idk how to get around it entirely, because it IS part of how i think, which means that while i don’t have to do it socially, there are discussions i can’t meaningfully have without doing it 😭

not a man, but i do this. i talk through how i understand things in order to discuss or figure out ~anything. been trying to curtail it my whole life bc it is often read as condescension, and it is finally clicking what people think im doing when that happens
Allie ✞@allie__voss

Mansplaining is kind of just how men talk. In the same way that women figure out problems through venting out loud, men figure out their solutions by explaining through their models of how things work. It's (usually) not condescending.

guys we gotta move. rural oregon is beautiful, but i go months at a time without seeing any friends. we need a place with live music, people who think outside the box, and a reasonable cost of living. does such a place exist?

@puheenix They’re being awfully nonspecific about the drugs because different drugs absolutely call for different music
