Do some research on the subject. We have pushed viability down to 21ish weeks at quaternary centers at high cost both $ and human.

The article doesn't elaborate as to how far along the pregnancies were - only second trimester - which is anywhere from 13 to 26 weeks and a significant period of growth for the fetus. The issue as described is that during this period, there was a heartbeat in all cases. Why are we not developing and implementing technology whereby the developed fetus is removed and placed on life sustaining care and/or hospice care - and let nature takes it own course. This would solve the issues at hand for both the host and the new human life.
