Excellent news!* I’d expected new ICE3neo trains to take over Brussels-Cologne-Frankfurt & Amsterdam-Cologne-Frankfurt ICE services gradually between now & December. But no, it seems all the unreliable ICE3M trains have been replaced by ICE3neo from this week.

@Jeff_Mold If there was no effect, you'd expect to get p <= 0.05 for 1 in 20 tests - that's the definition of p values. But I feel that in good papers, the confidence in the results come from seeing consistent effects across multiple experiments.

@BeckerLabCRTD @LaplanteMathieu Those were my thoughts too. Difficult to say without knowing the analysis but they seem surprisingly small p values for n=5 and that level of variance.

I think P<0.0001 would have been ok.😂

@ShivaniM_KC What I can't understand, is why on earth they included the word 'physician' in the PA title. Physician is a legally protected title and avoids all the issues with Dr not being one. But then to use it for someone who isn't a physician seems to entirely undermine that.

I’ve been corrected - apparently the PA legitimately held the title “dr” If that’s the case, I’ve really got to query the appropriateness of the MPTS referring to this person as ‘Dr’ in a fitness to practice setting?

@andrechemist It's only when I started teaching it that I realised the FOF1 ATP synthase wasn't the F0F1 ATP synthase. But once you know that, it's a lot easier to remember it's the target of oligomycin.

@mart_compton @Charlesknight Interesting parallel with the double-blind peer review: academics are often confident they can identify the author so conclude blinding is pointless. In reality, that confidence is often misplaced. It'll be dangerous to build an AI strategy around misplaced confidence.

So the real question is: what would be achieved by low-dim visualisation, and what question would it answer?
