But we like the place & don’t want to move, can’t find a place around the same price. Very small town. What would you do?

What would you do in this case; month to month rental, north side bedrooms smells moldy, landlord cut a piece of drywall, found some mold. He said he replaced the cut out part so it should be fine, but it’s not.->

@Mandalore_1978 @ApostleNatalie @officer_Lew Ultimately landlord doesn’t have to rent, it’s their property. So if a landlord asks such a question and the response is “don’t want to discuss” it’s a big incentive for them to skip to the next potential tenant. It’s not like houses wait on rental market for months.

@pullrack @ApostleNatalie @officer_Lew And actually, I rent right now. And if I’m ever asked a question that I feel it’s not appropriate. I tell them I’m sorry, but that’s not relevant to the rental agreement.

You usually spend weeks trying to find a place that is not filthy and affordable at the same time and when you find something reasonable telling the landlord that the question they ask is none of their business is unrealistic.

@Mimiof28 @ApostleNatalie @officer_Lew They sent multiple lawyers we followed up for a couple hearings then had to cave because it became a hassle to take days off from work just to recoup the money they kept. It seemed like the lawyers intentionally made excuses to prolong the case, and clearly their tactic worked.

@ApostleNatalie @officer_Lew I don’t know about section 8, but every single landlord cut a good chunk of our security deposit even though we left the place in better condition than we moved in. If you go to small claims court you have to answer the next potential landlord why you sued the previous landlord.

I hate to tell you it's not one-sided. Landlords also hold tenants hostage, antara property to collect money from section 8 after clean move outs. Landlords play this game to received checks from section 8 upon move out, don't be so sure that's the tenant. I don't think the landlord has to prove it, it's just stated and they get a check which is also a bad policy. Landlords beat the system all the time, their mouth is not a prayer book. Units should be inspected before and after with the tenant so landlords (can't) lie about it. @HUDgov ~TheApostle I've seen both

Arkadaşım Vadistanbul Big Chefs'e gitmiş, menü ve fiyatlar fotoğraftaki gibi. Kendisi fiyatları görünce doğru bir hareket yapıp masadan kalkmış. Bunu hepimizin yapması lazım ki işletmeler biraz da olsa utansınlar. İnsaf! İşçilik, enerji, kira muhabbeti yapan olacak mı acaba?

@elonmusk This is a bad chart though. No current date but instead a targeted future date, 1960, 1980, 2000 but no 2020, 3 era categories but on the chart color change is gradual, not categorical. So basically chart shows launch cost was $10k some time in the past and became $1k these days.
