@MsEmilyEdwards @ryanbooth @JohnDellaporta Used to have one of these in live sound engineering – a fader marked ‘DFA’, which was useful for when someone asks you to turn something up/down.
DFA: Does ‘Flip’ All.

a legendary gaffer carried a clothespin in his pocket and when he got stupid lighting notes, would "put up another light", then sit at the monitor w/ the note giver and snap the pin at his side saying "on, off. on, off. which one?" they'd answer, he'd smile and say "good choice"

@petefrasermusic It's SO GOOD! I've tried so many apps like this over the years and I'm always disappointed at how limited they are, but here the way you can record AND import your own samples, combined with how intuitive the interface is and the quantisation/automation options... fantastic.

@BryanTheColeman This is such weird timing, I was just at the Apple store this morning and spent a significant amount of time while waiting staring at various animations on different screens (including this one!) wondering about how they were put together, and who had done it. Great work!

@Efterklang Heartbreakingly I can no longer make it to Sommertræf this weekend - I have one ticket for the 25th, for sale at face value. Could you possibly retweet? Would hate for it to go to waste.

@petefrasermusic Definitely one of the few tools I reach for as often for creative uses as I do practical ones. Great for the huge gross distortion thing, great for just tickling a bus. Don't think I've ever used it for bass like this, but I'm definitely going to try it now - sounds ace!

It was absolute joy to work on this month’s @iluli_eu video, inspired by @DavidEpstein’s phenomenal book Range, and featuring @AOC, @danlevitin and @DrBrianMay.

Have you ever been told to give up on your dreams? Unlikely. It’s not the most positive-sounding advice, after all. But it could be precisely what’s needed to unlock your potential. Find out why expanding your range could be a game changer in my new video: youtube.com/watch?v=FE_Wp5…

We are super psyched with this sequence's sound design from the latest @iluli_eu video we animated 🤯

@chimpspanner I do, both in terms of headroom and feeling at home - after over a decade on Logic, Ableton became my go-to DAW almost overnight. The headroom thing bugs me but they all have their flaws so it’s a case of pick your poison - I find that one relatively easy to live with.
