I’m sorry to say but @airindia maharajaclub is shameful. I’m a platinum member. I was invited by them to attend a lucky Ali concert. They sent me 2 passes, asking who will accompany and I said I don’t know if I will or not as I’m a busy lawyer and will try. I did not attend. They ensured now saying as I did not attend they are deducting 20,000 of my membership points. Even if this was stated this is not an invite to a member but a forced invite. Sorry to say but this is blatant cheating and totally misleading. As a firm believer in @TataCompanies this is totally against the legacy of Tatas. I reserve my right to a customer complaint on this if Air India does not withdraw their absolutely illegal email. Shame on you!

She said, If she were an Indian, She would shift to Bihar and wanted to run for the post of Bihar CM as she thought that Nitish Kumar is a sexist person. Reliving history. A trip down the history lane. I was the son in 1989 and now a father in 2025. Rare moments of emotion. As I went to the graduation ceremony of my son Mohammed Adnan Gani Lone, I was reminded of the times when my father came for my graduation.

Bushan Lal Pandita Ji of Handwara, currently residing in Jammu passed away this morning. A very dear, very close and an esteemed colleague of my late father and someone v close to our family, Bushan Lal Ji was a passionate resident of Handwara. He loved Handwara and Handwara loved him. Though resident in Jammu, he was perhaps amongst the first from the KP community to visit and keep visiting Kashmir post 1989. He would come and stay in Handwara for days at stretch. His home in Jammu was at the disposal of people from Kashmir. People especially from District Kupwara would go there, stay there and Bushan Lal Ji would be there for them if they needed any help. He was a practising lawyer. Lately he had given up practising law. Bushan Lal Ji worked tirelessly and and lead the efforts to reconstruct the Baderkali temple in Badrekal Handwara. He again lead the efforts to re establish the Baderkali trust. This was in early 2000. He was an ardent advocate for bridging the gulf between Kasmiri Pandits and Kashmiri Muslims. And he showed it in practice. His social circle, friends did not change post 1989. All the marriages that took place in his family in Jammu were organised by his Kashmiri Muslim friends from Handwara. His home in Jammu was the winter abode for many of his Kashmiri Muslim friends. He was a live example of true reconciliation. He went through the same turmoil like other KPs in 1989. But he was such a magnanimous soul. He did not hold it against anybody. He was a great man. If I were to name a Kashmiri Pandit who has worked on ground to recreate and reestablish the Pre 1989 societal set up it would be Bushan Lal Ji. That way he was the unsung son of the soil. He started coming back to Kashmir when violence was at its peak. For me he was and will remain Bushan Lal Uncle. He was family. This is as much as a loss for his family as it is for me and our family. May he rest in peace.
