@antiprosynth @ConfuEth I don’t understand how you can be in this space, understand blockchain and ethereum, onchain scarcity etc, and not see value in BTC’s digital gold narrative. Like sure bash XRP and SOL etc but Bitcoin, honestly?

@ConfuEth I highly doubt that. I mean, BTC and XRP have ~zero value accrual whatsoever. What could be argued is that ETH is held to an impossibly high standard compared to others.

I think that at this point, not even Ethereum's most ardent FUDsters can explain ETH's relative price performance. Either we're looking at an insane opportunity, or this space is just terminally cooked by financial nihilism.

Lots of psy-ops and confusion on the timeline about EF. I want to add my voice and speak with clarity on what I feel is important and right I am beholden to no protocol, grant, fund, foundation or any other entity and have simply held Eth for several years -- including through the Dao hack & fork, covid crash & I am not one prone to overreaction to any singular event or paper handing investments. I can speak candidly, and want to, because it's the right thing to do: EF needs leadership change full stop. Josh & Aya should both be gone. I say that with no vitriol in my words, just unemotional analysis of many months leading to what I believe anyone (with no biases) seeing they are not competent operators for what the EF requires at this stage of Ethereums development Danny Ryan would be an amazing replacement and the Eth community should both rally behind this happening and support him fully if he is able to come in as the ED to create a mandate of his own. If I have any credibility in your eyes, I ask you trust me on this and hope that we the community can be as lucky to get this outcome Anything less than new leadership installed at the foundation is (imo) extremely bearish for Eth and personally I will exit between 70-100% of my Eth holdings and move this capital into other crypto assets where the ethos is aligned with what I believe make actual solid long-term investments I've spoken to many in the foundation, many OGs, many other investors, and haven't said any of these words lightly and without deep thought. For anyone who is trying to make sense of what is going on and may not have had access to some of the contacts I've spoken to about this to reach this conclusion, the blunt truth is there is a culture of unaccountability at the foundation that is terminally ill and unrecoverable at this stage and we (the community) need to push for real change like I am describing There's really not anything more to say than what I just wrote because either the communities voices are heard and change happens now or it doesn't, but I wanted write this out to make sure I did my part to push for what I know is best for Eth here. If this resonates with you, make your voice heard as well because it really is now or never 🫡

I often wonder if I'm in the wrong industry. Take SpaceX for example. They send a rocket to Mars? Humanity advances. They fail to send one and blow it up? Humanity learns a lesson and advances. All outcomes lead to progress. In contrast, crypto is a damn casino for dum-dums (apologies to the select few). Number go up? Yay, when lambo. Number go down? Lives get wrecked. Where's the contribution to humanity? Yes, it takes time to "build a new monetary system". For sure... but how about we make a few useful things along the way? Everyone is so focused on becoming the next V that nobody wants to build useful stuff, everyone's in it for value extraction. I don't really see *why* this system should not collapse? What would we lose in the grand scheme of things? All crypto achieved was a huge value transfer, but I fail to see any value creation thus far. Mind you, making it big by luck and moving your funds into some non crypto venture is not a success story for crypto. It at best is a success story for a philanthropic lucky person, but more likely a simple diversification of said person. IMO it's past time this industry creates something genuinely useful that people want to use, or should just close up shop. Bitcoin at least tries (and fails) to be a safe haven asset. But the rest are all selling shovels with no gold rush in sight.
