My Highschool baseball coach begged us to watch 20-30 minutes of college/professional baseball a night. I never understood it. Reflecting on it now, I am deeply grateful I did as he asked. It helped me think the game & develop baseball IQ ahead of my age. As I help coaching Highschool baseball now : The baseball IQ is seemingly getting worse for high schoolers as time goes on & the world becomes exceedingly more short form & instant gratification centric. If you’re a parent and/or young baseball player I hope you understand how much understanding the intricacies of the game will play in your favor over the long haul.

The "I just learned this way to late" online hitting coach is wild. It's what makes everyone think that there is a "cheat code". In all honesty, you still wouldn't be a good hitter. Hitters hit! They find a way. Would your swing look better? Maybe. It doesn't mean you would hit.

Parents of baseball/softball players; if your child is 10 years old or younger, stop paying for lessons and get in the yard and play with your kids. Their natural athletic ability will develop and you guys can have quality time if you don’t expect them to be major leaguers

Queen's Grant is well on its way to winning the 2A boys basketball state championship. A couple of things to point out: (1) this is Queen's Grant's 38 game of this season and Warren County's 24th. Spring Sports soupdate: Congratulations to our Girl's Soccer team who improved to 2-0 on the season yesterday with a 5-1 win over E. Wilkes. Brisa Reyes led the Eagles with 4 Goals! Baseball is currently 4-0 on the season and will have their home opener tonight v. HPC at 6:00.
