@ChennaiIPL The franchise risks of losing loyalty if accountability is not brought to team mgt. Starting from 24auction to now - too many blunders, tactical errors in games,poor injury management . Yes the team showed promise in flashes but this is a far cry from CSK which has won 5 titles

RCB didn’t get the impact sub before the second innings started. They saw the ball seaming around in the first 3 overs , then makes the call to get Rasikh in as impact sub and in to the attack straightaway and gets the big wicket of Shreyas where many teams still are in the learning process on how to use impact sub. For how many years are they going to keep saying the same thing tho? Three years in a row & not a single thing has changed. Whatever "problem" they had in 2024 they still have in 2026. It's kinda embarrassing that visiting teams have more knowledge about your pitch than you do.

@CSKFansOfficial Toss, worst pitch to give to GT, clueless franchise management on their own conditions , using impact sub at wrong time & many more tactical errors between the captain and management. It was a dismal & very poor showing . Unfortunately looks like a steady decline at @ChennaiIPL

Lot of Kudos here for @ashwinravi99 . He continues to show he can read conditions better than most , why @ChennaiIPL has no one in their management now capable of making good tactical decisions. The impact player rule usage today will go down as the 8th wonder of the world!

Anything is possible in sports . It’s hard but it’s possible - but they need to correct a lot of their continuing poor tactical decision making that has plagued several matches till now .

@Vibhor4CSK Constant change of batting order , poor tactical decision making including when to use impact sub, chepauk curator helping GT as well . Csk has to question if Fleming and this management team is well past their prime

Csk has done that in the past but the issue this year they can’t stick to a winning combination and even worse very poor tactical decision making - Srh and GT matches offer plenty of proof

Add to this list the second man of the match for GT - the pitch curator . Great gift for GT without any excuses for how much the team played badly as well

This is the first game of the season that gave me 2025 vibes. Genuinely god awful batting right from ball one. Rutu was insanely slow to begin with and kept that going on for too long. Irresponsible batting from Urvil, Sarfaraz and Brevis. Impact sub fuck up from Fleming. One of the worst CSK games I've ever watched.

@ChennaiIPL The decision to take an impact sub so early on is very poor thinking . Can franchise management please instill some 2026 T20 thinking here . As far as the pitch is concerned to give this to GT - beyond words - just made the teams chance at playoffs a lot harder

Worst PP performance. Match was lost there . Panic sets in & using an impact sub early and now a bowler short . Poor fielding . The playoffs qualifying just got a lot harder . This management team needs to go @ChennaiIPL

@ChennaiIPL Hope Ayush recovers well . What was the captain thinking making him run quick 2’s and singles in the power play . The lack of tactical management on field is appalling . This franchise looks outdated with leadership that is missing basics . Very sad to see

Official Announcement
Ayush Mhatre has been ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2026 due to a left hamstring injury sustained while batting during the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 18.
Ayush's injury will require a rehabilitation period of 6-12 weeks.
We wish Ayush a speedy recovery.

@pv20202015 @ESPNcricinfo @ChennaiIPL Exactly anna. Akeal should be there in place of Short and Rutu cannot handle captaincy. It is time Kasi and MSD own the mistake of choosing the wrong second leg and hand the baton over to Sanju. It makes no sense. Very poor succession planning on display!
